Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the packing density of a resonator so as to reduce the size of the resonator, by providing a capacity between both open ends of a loop-like transmission line and, at the same time, by forming tie shape of the loop to a triangle or fan.
CONSTITUTION: A capacity 12 for tuning frequency is provided between both open ends of a loop-like transmission line 11 so as to form a triangular split-ring type resonator. When a two-stage filter is constituted by using the resonator, the oblique sides of two triangular split-ring type resonators are faced to and coupled with each other. As a result, a two-stage filter having a high packing density and no useless space can be constituted. When the whole shape of the resonator is formed to a fan by bending the section 42 of the transmission line 41, a filter having a circular shape can be constituted, though the coupling route among the resonators of this circular filter is slightly different from that for obtaining a special transmission characteristic.
