Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to directly use standard type speed reducing and reversing unit which journals an input shaft and an output shaft in parallel with each other, by removably mounting a coupling shaft extending to the engine side, to the input shaft through the intermediary of a universal joint, outside of a speed reducing and reversing unit casing. CONSTITUTION:A universal joint device 29 coupled to an input shaft 22 is composed of a joint casing 30 which is removably attached to the front side surface of a speed reducing and reversing unit casing 21, and a coupling shaft 33 which is journalled to a bearing boss 31 in the front end part thereof, through the intermediary of conical roller bearings 32 in plural rows. Further, the joint casing 30 has a flange 34 integrally incorporated with the rear end part of the casing 30 and secured removably to the speed reducing and reversing unit casing 21 by means of bolts 35. Therefore the universal joint device 29 may give an inclined angle, and accordingly, it is not necessary to incline the speed reducing and reversing unit section, thereby it is possible to directly use a standard type speed reducing and reversing unit journalling the input and output shafts 22, 23 in parallel with each other.
