Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the generation of a high-voltage pulse simply by only driving the rotation of a rotary body, by a method wherein a discharging terminal and the terminal of a capacitor are provided opposingly to a plurality of terminals, provided on the circumferential side of the rotary body, through a gap. CONSTITUTION:A pair of discs 13, 14 and another pair of discs 15, 16, which are constituting a rotary body, are fixed integrally to a shaft 12, rotated by a motor 11. A charging terminal 18, a discharging terminal 19 and capacitor terminals 21, 22 for a charging and discharging capacitor 20 are provided so as to be opposed to respective terminals 17, attached to the outer peripheral side of the discs 13-16 through a given gap. When respective discs 13-16 are rotated, a DC high voltage is impressed on the charging and discharging capacitor 20 and two sets of the charging and discharging capacitors 20 are discharged in series, therefore, a high-voltage pulse may be impressed on a load 26.
