Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the whole device compact and improve reliability by arranging a fluorescent material in a transparent resin body and forming a radiation permeation part so as to enclose the fluorescent material in the transparent resin body by the use of an optically coupled member. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting layer 7 and an optically interrupting layer 8 are formed on the outer surface of an optical pipe part 2 and a radiation permeation part 3, and the reflecting layer 7 is formed of pasting up a white Teflon tape thereon and applying white paint thereto. When radiation is struck into the radiation permeation part 3 and advanced in a fluorescent material 5, fluorescent light is radiated in accordance with the strength of the radiation from the fluorescent material 5, which is transmitted to a transparent resin body 4 through an optically coupled member 6, and a part of the fluorescent light which is being reflected by the reflecting layer 7 of a reflecting part 9 and the optical pipe part 2 is struck into a photomultiplier PMT. And in this case moisture proof is good because the radiation permeation part 3 is formed of solid and so reliability is improved.
