Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical radiator which can evenly radiate the light efficiently, by providing an optical conductor having a prescribed space in parallel to a long axis plus plural light leaking parts with a space of a prescribed angle to a reflecting member having a helical surface formed by twisting several times a plastic flat plate type member centering around the long axis. CONSTITUTION:An optical conductor 1 having plural light leaking parts with a space of a prescribed angle as well as a prescribed space in the direction of a long axis is provided via a hole or groove 4 along the long axis of a helical surface type reflecting member 2 obtained by twisting several times a plastic flat plate type member. The outer circumference of the conductor 1 is enclosed by a transparent cylindrical sealed-up container 3. The light incident to the conductor 1 is radiated through the light leaking part and reflected over the full length of the member 2. As a result, an optical radiator capable of reflecting the light evenly and efficiently is obtained.
