Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material having excellent heat resistance and flexibility and in which a thermal head is not bonded by using specific polyurethane resin for the formation of a heat resistant layer. CONSTITUTION:A base sheet is formed of a heat sensitive recording layer formed on its one side face and a heat resistant layer formed on its other side face in such a manner that the heat resistant layer contains polyurethane resin having siloxane compound group represented by a formula (1) as a pendant, where R in the formula is alkyl group, k=1 to 250, l=0 to 5, m=0 to 3, n=1 to 3 of integer numbers. That is, this polyurethane resin is obtained by using siloxane compound of the formula (1) as whole or part of polyol when polyol, polyisocyanate, and the like are reacted to obtain the polyurethane resin, and more preferably, the pendant of the siloxane compound occupies approx.1.0 to 100wt.% in the polyurethane resin molecule.
