Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material having excellent heat resistance and flexibility and in which a thermal head is not bonded by using specific polyurethane resin for the formation of a heat resistant layer. CONSTITUTION:A base sheet is formed of a heat sensitive recording layer formed on its one side face and a heat resistant layer formed on its other side face in such a manner that the heat resistant layer contains polyurethane resin having fluoride group represented by a formula (1) as a pendant, where R in the formula is hydrogen atom or fluorine atom, k=2 to 16, l=0 to 6, m=0 to 3, n=1 to 3 of integer numbers. That is, this polyurethane resin is obtained by using fluoride of the formula (1) as whole or part of polyol or chain extender when polyol, polyisocyanate, and, as required, chain extender are reacted to obtain the polyurethane resin, and more preferably, the pendant of the fluoride occupies approx.1.0 to 100wt.% in the polyurethane resin molecule.
