Abstract
PURPOSE:To regulate an interval between a member to be recorded and a recording head by controlling diffusing air amount or pneumatic pressure from an air diffuser to be injected to a platen face by pressing the head toward a platen. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 is placed on a carriage 2 to be moved on guide rails 3. Ink fed from an ink supply tube 5 is discharged from a discharge port 4 to a member to be recorded of a platen face. Air diffuser ports 6 are formed at both ends of the head 1, and air is injected from the ports 6 through blowing tubes 7 to the platen face. The head is pressed toward the platen by a spring 8, and the air streams injected from the ports 6 are balanced at a predetermined position with the force for pressing the platen face. Here, the pneumatic pressure is adjusted by blowing means, but if a throttle valve is provided on the way of the tube, the pneumatic pressures injected from the ports 6 can be controlled to obtain a desired interval between the head 1 and the member to be recorded.
