Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus of simple construction which is easy to operate and allows smooth replacement of paper filters by providing nozzles etc., to prevent biting of paper filters. CONSTITUTION:Waste water containing the particles supplied on the upper surface side of paper filters 5 mounted on a row of rods 2 is smoothly filtered by means of the filters 5 because the lower side thereof is kept under vacuum by a suction pump 16, so that fine particles are separated. Further, when the filter performance decreases due to clogging of the filters 5, clean water 17 in an auxiliary tank 18 is ejected from nozzles 21 so as to raise the filters 5 above a fixed filter receiver 12, preventing biting of the filters 5; therefore, clogged filters are smoothly wound up by a paper discharge roll 6 and guided to a bucket 7, while new filters 5 are placed on the row of rods 2 supplied by a paper roll 4.
