Abstract
PURPOSE:To make power for filtration pressure unnecessary and make concentration regulation and back washing possible, by connecting a cylindrical filter material to a raw liquid outlet, connecting a concentrated liquid outlet having a throttle valve to the lower end of said cylindrical filter material, and providing a pipe to spray liquids over the filter material vertically movably. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a cylindrical filter material 3 is connected to a raw liquid bottom outlet 1a of a raw liquid tank 1 and a concentrated liquid outlet pipe 7 having a throttle valve 8 is connected to the lower end of the cylindrical filter material 3 and further a pipe 10 having liquid spray ports 10a is disposed vertically movably around said filter material 3. In this manner, the construction is simplified and power is not needed by utilizing the force of gravity in comparison with a conventional vertical type filtration thickner that uses an extruding screw. And further, concentration regulation of concentrated liquids is made possible by regulating the opening of said throttle valve 8 and back washing by regulating the opening of said throttle valve 8 and back washing can be efficiently conducted by optionally moving vertically the liquid spray pipe.
