Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate a foreign matter efficiently by a method wherein cleaning liquid and waste plastic fine pieces are supplied tangentially to an inside cylinder provided in the interior of body, the foreign matter is accumulated on the bottom of the body and the plastic is forced to flow out of the top. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 9 is provided inside a cylinder wall 1A of a body 1 with its upper half part formed in the cylinder wall 1A and the lower half part in a tapered cone wall 1B, and a raw material inlet pipe 10 penetrating the cylinder wall 1A and opening 11 tangentially on inside wall of the cylinder 9 is provided. A raw material M in which cleaning liquid and a waste plastic fine piece are mixed is supplied into the cylinder 9 from the inlet pipe 10 to form a vortex flow A1, the plastic fine piece is thus elevated and a foreign matter E precipitated onto the bottom of the body 1, which is stored in a foreign matter reservoir 5 by way of a foreign matter discharge port 2 and a valve 4 opened regularly. On the other hand, the plastic fine piece is forced to flow out of the cylinder 9 and the top of the body 1 together with cleaning liquid on a vortex flow A2 produced by low-speed rotations of a rotary stirrer 12 and then delivered to the next process from a raw material outlet 8 by way of a receivig pan 3.
