PURPOSE:To obtain a good print picture near to a transmitted original picture by demodulating the output data of a facsimile broadcasting receiver to R, G, B signal components and interpolating the average value of the data of lines in the vicinity as the data of an intermediate line. CONSTITUTION:The picture element data 304 inputted to a color conversion interpolating circuit 4 is converted in color to cyanogen, magenta, yellow signals of a complementary color in an inversion circuit 401 and stored in a line memory A 402 or a line memory B 403. One picture element transfer clock 214 is inputted to an address counter 405 through a gate circuit 404 and the memory addresses of the line memories 402, 403 are designated. The picture element data read from the memories 402, 403 is averaged in an average value circuit 406 and impressed to a switcher 407 together with the data from the memories 402, 403 as new data. The average value signal of respective line signals in the vicinity is formed from three types of signals impressed to the switcher 407 by a switcher control signal 410 and outputted as the interpolating picture element data 411 of a sequential line signal.
