Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an ion wind generating device suitable for non-industrial use by furnishing needle-shaped cathodes together with anodes in a blower cylinder borne by a stand in such a way as capable of rising/falling and rotating, and subjecting this cathode to DC chopper drive through a high frequency transformer. CONSTITUTION:A blower cylinder 2 is equipped with a wire meshing 16 at its suction port 2a and with a filter 15 at its blowing port 2b and borne by a stand in such a way as capable of rising/falling and rotating. A plurality of needle/shaped cathodes 14 and drafty 13 mating therewith are installed inside this cylinder 2, wherein the cathodes 13 are driven by DC chopper output through a high frequency transformer 18, a chopper circuit 19, a control device 21 for control of the current, and a rectifier circuit 25, and ion wind is generated through the cylinder 2 to blast against human body, and thus transfer of electric charges occurs, that lets the person to feel coldness. With this simple construction, an ion wind generating device suitable for non-industrial use, wherein the amount of wind is increased, direction of wind any desired, and noises eliminated.
