Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately detect defective insulator on the ground in sefety by projecting laser light on the glass and vibrating it, detecting its vibrations from the reflected laser light of a laser for measurement, and comparing the detection result with the vibration mode of normal insulator. CONSTITUTION:A pulse laser generator 9 projects the pulse laser light on the ceramic surface of suspended glass 5 first to give a mechanical shock, thereby vibrating the insulator 5. Then a laser Doppler device 10 projects laser light for measurement on the ceramic surface 6a and receives its reflected laser light, and a frequency analyzer 11 analyzes the frequency of the received laser light. Then a comparing decision device 12 compares the measured vibration mode with the vibration mode of normal insulator 5. Then a normal state pilot lamp illuminates when there is no difference between both modes, but an abnormal state pilot lamp illuminate when there is difference between both modes.
