Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain strong connection forces without lowering of joint pressure by a method in which an unvulcanized rubber thin plate is interposed between end faces of rubber packings and the rubber packings are vulcanized and connected through the rubber thin plate by pressing them by a pressure applied to the rubber packings. CONSTITUTION:A rubber paste is applied to the end face of water-stop rubber packings 1, and the packings 1 are set in molds 8. An unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5 is put between the end faces of the packings 1 and pressed by pressures applied to the packings 1, where vulcanized rubber pipes 6 thrust through the cavities 7 of the plate 5 are fitted into the cavities 2 of the packings 1. Strong pressures can thus be applied to the joints without causing the inflow of unvulcanized rubber into the cavities.

<Prior art> This type of water-stop rubber gasket is formed into a long piece by extrusion molding, and a plurality of these pieces are joined to make an even longer piece.
It is used for the above-mentioned water gates, or it is used by joining both end surfaces of a single long object to form a ring shape and interposing it at the joint between large diameter concrete pipes.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> In general, this type of water-stop rubber gasket is often provided with a cavity in order to improve its reaction force characteristics. However, when a water-stop rubber gasket has a cavity, the rubber glue and unvulcanized rubber thin plate flow into the cavity during joining, and even though pressure is applied, this pressure is not applied to the joint. As a result, there is a problem that the bonding force becomes weak.

Conventional methods to deal with this problem include inserting an iron rod from one end of a water-stop rubber seal into the cavity of the joint to eliminate a place for the unvulcanized rubber to escape, or joining with the cavity of the joint part crushed. However, the former method is unsuitable for long objects and cannot be used for circular objects, and the latter method results in solid joints and poor reaction force characteristics. There are problems such as an extreme drop in performance.

Means for Solving Problems〉 The method for joining water-stop rubber gaskets according to the present invention is to apply a rubber-based glue to each end surface of the water-stop rubber gasket to be joined, and then apply rubber glue to each end surface of the water-stop rubber gasket to have substantially the same shape as the end surface of the water-stop rubber gasket. A thin plate of unvulcanized rubber is sandwiched between the end faces of the two water-stop rubber gaskets, and a vulcanized rubber pipe that matches the shape of the cavity is inserted between the unvulcanized rubber and the thin plate of unvulcanized rubber. # Fit the hollow part of the slope into the hollow part of each of the above water stop rubber gaskets located on both sides, place the joint part in a heating mold and pressurize it, and apply the above two water stop seals through the thin rubber plate. It is used to vulcanize and bond rubber gaskets.

Function> As shown in FIG. 2, rubber-based glue is applied to the end surfaces of the water-stopping rubber gaskets 1.1 to be joined, respectively, and the seals are placed close to each other in a mold 8.8. A thin unvulcanized rubber plate 5 is sandwiched between the end faces of the rubber gaskets 1.1, and is pressed by pressure (indicated by arrow a) applied to each rubber gasket 1,1. A vulcanized rubber vibro is penetrated through the cavity 7 of the unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5.

6 is fitted into each cavity 2° 2 of the rubber gaskets 1.1 on both sides, so when heated and pressurized by the molds 8, 8, the rubber of the unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5 is fitted into the cavity 2° 2 of the rubber packings 1.1 on both sides. It does not flow into 2. In other words, there is no place for this rubber to escape, and the rubber seal 1

<Example> In Fig. 1, 1 and 1 are, for example, chloroprene rubber (C
R), each having a cavity 2.2 with a diameter of about 13 mm. This waterproof rubber gasket 1.1
is molded by extrusion and vulcanized. The hollow portions 2, 2 function to improve the reaction force characteristics as described above. 3.3 is a joint end surface of each water-stop rubber gasket 1.1, to which CR-based rubber glue 4, 4 is applied. 5 is
An unvulcanized rubber thin plate interposed between the joint end surfaces 3, 3 of the water-stop rubber gaskets 1, 1, made of CR, has a shape slightly larger than the joint end surfaces 3, 3, and has a thickness of approximately 2H. ~5 questions. This thin rubber plate 5 is attached to the joining end surfaces 3, 3.
The reason why the shape is slightly larger than that is to increase the pressure on this thin rubber plate 5 when pressed with a mold. still,
As described above, the same effect can be obtained even if the thin rubber plate 5 is made to have substantially the same shape as the joining end surfaces 3, 3, and another thin rubber piece is interposed around the thin rubber plate 5 during mold compression. Reference numeral 6.6 indicates a pipe which is passed through the cavities 7, 7 of the unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5, and is made of CR and is vulcanized. The diameter of this vibro 6 can be about 13 mm, and the length can be about 20 to 30 mm. The vibro 6 is fitted into each cavity 2.2 of the waterproof rubber gaskets 1, 1 on both sides and pushed in until the unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5 comes into contact with the joint end surfaces 3, 3.

In this state, it is housed in molds 8, 8 as shown in FIG. 2, pressure a is applied, and it is heated at about 150° C. for 20 minutes. In this way, the unvulcanized rubber thin plate 5 is vulcanized,
At the same time, the joint end faces of each water-stop rubber gasket 1.1 are firmly joined.

FIG. 3 shows one usage state of the water stop rubber gasket 1 according to this embodiment, where 9 is concrete, 10 is a bolt for fixing the water stop rubber gasket 1 to this concrete 9, and 11 is concrete 9. This is a bolt receiver buried in the The shape indicated by the broken line A in the figure shows a state in which the water-stop rubber gasket 1 is deformed due to a pressing force being applied from below.

■An unvulcanized gonograph and a thin plate with a vulcanized pipe passed through are interposed in the joint part, and this pipe is fitted into the cavity of the water-stopping rubber packing to be joined, so the vulcanized thin plate of unvulcanized rubber is inserted into the joint. During pressure vulcanization, unvulcanized rubber flows into this cavity, and there is no risk of reducing the bonding pressure, making it possible to obtain a strong bonding force.
