Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate and deliver mediums one by one irrespective of thickness, by a method wherein, when the medium is moved to a feed roller, a sensor is worked to force a subroller to be moved aside from the medium, and a main roller is caused to race. CONSTITUTION:When a magnet for motioning a solenoid is turned ON, a subroller 22 is brought into contact with a medium 11. In this case, by turning ON an electromagnetic clutch, coupled to a main roller 21, and rotating the main roller 21, a delivery belt 24 is rotated, the subroller is started to rotate, and by means of the main roller 21 and the subroller 22, the mediums 11 are separated from each other for delivery. When the medium 11 is moved to a feed roller 23, it is detected by a sensor 27, and when the sensor 27 is rendered effective, the magnet of a solenoid and the electromagnetic clutch of the main roller 21 are brought into an OFF-state, and the main roller 21 is started to race. In this case, the subroller 22 is not in a state to make contact with the medium. Namely, the subroller is moved aside to a position shown by a dotted line.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Summary] In media separation and feeding, a main roller that is in constant contact with the medium and a sub-roller that is not driven once the medium is conveyed to the feed roller are provided, and the main roller and sub-roller are rotated when the medium is fed out. However, after the medium reaches the feed roller, the sub roller is retracted, the main roller is idled, and the medium is conveyed only by the feed roller.

In the prior art, the separation function was performed by pressurizing the separator rubber against the bottom 18 of the storage box, which extends in the media feeding direction beyond the contour of the storage box. That is, as shown in the figure, pressure is applied until the separator rubber is slightly warped in the direction in which the medium is fed out, and the medium fed out by the feeding roller 14 is fed while being pressed.

By the way, the media ranges from 0.12mm thick to 0.12mm thick.
There are a wide variety of media, up to a thickness of 25mm+, and on the other hand, since the feeding roller and separator rubber are not in contact, a large feeding force cannot be obtained on the separator rubber, and 2 to 3 thin media of about 0 or 12mm cannot be separated at the same time. In some cases, the media may be fed out, or a medium of about 0.25 mm may not be fed out.

The present invention was created in view of these points, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a method in which media can be reliably separated and fed out one by one, regardless of thickness.

To explain in more detail, the sub roller 22 takes a state in which it is in contact with the medium and a retracted state in which it is not in contact with the medium by the operation of a solenoid (not shown). A feeding belt 24 that drives a sub-roller 22 is connected to the main roller 21, and the main roller 21 is always in contact with the medium 11, and is equipped with a one-way clutch and an electromagnetic clutch (not shown). Further, the feeding belt 24 is in contact with the separator 25 which is pressurized by a pressure spring 26 .
