Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the flow-out remaining iron and the separation of molten iron and molten slag by separating the molten iron and molten slag in a first tilting trough arranged at lower side of downstream end of a large trough by a skimmer and receiving the molten iron from a main trough to a second tilting trough and the molten slag to a slag trough. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron flowed out from a blast furnace is flowed through the large trough 14 and in the first tilting trough 15 below the large trough 14. The molten slag is separated from the molten iron by the skimmer 16 and after the molten iron is poured into the main trough 17, it is poured into a molten iron ladle 19 through the second tilting trough 18. On the other hand, the molten slag is sent to a dry pit through a molten slag trough 20. When the molten slag quantity is reduced, it is prevented that the molten slag is passed through the skimmer 16 by tilting the first tilting rough 15 toward molten slag flow-out end 15B side.

Conventionally, hot metal tapped from a blast furnace and slag on the hot metal are separated in the following manner. That is, as shown in FIG.
The hot metal discharged from the taphole 2 of the blast furnace 1 passes through the large gutter 3 and reaches the skimmer 4 provided in the middle of the large gutter 3, where it is separated into hot metal and molten slag. The hot metal is led to the tilting gutter 6 through the main gutter 5 connected to the large gutter 3 on the downstream side, and is alternately injected into the ladle 7 from the tilting gutter 6. On the other hand, the molten slag is discharged into the dry pit 9 through a slag gutter 8 connected to the large gutter 3 on the upstream side of the skimmer 4.

According to the blast furnace pig iron slag separation apparatus of the present invention described above, the hot metal flowing out from the tap hole 2 of the blast furnace 1 flows into the first tilting trough 15 through the large trough 14. The hot metal 21 that has flowed into the first tilting trough] 5 is poured into the skimmer 1 as shown in FIG. 3(A).
The hot metal 21 is separated from the slag 22 by the main gutter 17
After flowing into the hot metal ladle 19, the hot metal is sequentially poured into the two ladle 19 via the second tilting trough 1B.
