Claims (1)
設けられると共に、同本体の外周から先端部にか
けて周切刃が設けられているボールエンドミルに
おいて、上記底切刃が被削材に点接触しながら該
被削材を切削可能な曲率半径をもつ回転方向に凸
なる円弧状に形成され、かつ該曲率半径が底切刃
の始端から終端までの全長にわたつて略一定であ
り、しかも該各底切刃相互のなす角度、もしくは
上記各周切刃相互のなす角度、または底切刃と周
切刃とのなす角度のいずれか一の角度が等分割で
ない角度によつて分割され、更に上記底切刃が全
般切削工具用超硬合金のうち強靭性超硬合金であ
るM30からなると共に、上記周切刃が全般切削
工具用超硬合金のうち強耐摩耗性超硬合金である
M20からなることを特徴とするボールエンドミ
ル。 (2) 円弧状に形成された底切刃の始端と終端と
が、軸中心からの同一の放射線上にあることを特
徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第(1)項に記載
のボールエンドミル。 (3) 円弧状に形成された底切刃の回転方向最先
端部が、ボールエンドミル本体の直径の1/2円
の近傍に位置することを特徴とする実用新案登録
請求の範囲第(1)項または第(2)項に記載のボール
エンドミル。 (4) 底切刃の曲率半径が、底面視においてボー
ルエンドミル本体の直径の約1/4〜3/4であ
