Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain smooth communication between a caller party and a called party by representing a telephone number sent by a prescribed selection number after a line is switched and connected to a facsimile equipment side in response to a call signal from the caller side. CONSTITUTION:The call signal is detected by a call signal detection circuit 12 and a control section 13 by dialing of the caller to obtain the facsimile reception mode, a line switch relay 14 is operated to change over a switch 3 thereby connecting the facsimile equipment and a line. The voice message registered in advance is sent in case of the start in the automatic reception mode. In this case, a telephone number from the opposite side is detected by an MF tone detection circuit 10 and the telephone number information is stored in a memory circuit 17 via a control section 13. Then the facsimile equipment is operated along the transmission control procedure and a recording section 11 applies recording on prescribed paper. Simultaneously, the number information of the memory circuit 17 is fed to the recording section 11 and the display device 18, where it is displayed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In recent years, the number of facsimile users has rapidly expanded to include shops and households. When using a facsimile, many methods are used to switch over and use an existing line instead of providing a dedicated facsimile line. In this case, when a facsimile machine capable of automatic reception is on standby in automatic reception mode and there is a call from the calling party for the purpose of talking, the called party continues the facsimile transmission control procedure and no facsimile signal arrives. Problems that the invention aims to solve By the way, in the conventional facsimile call method, when the line is put on hold for a certain period of time and then returns to the standby state, the purpose of the call is In response to the call from the calling party, the called party remains in a state where it returns a facsimile transmission control procedure signal. For this reason, the calling party was unable to convey his or her intentions, and the called party was also inconvenient because the called party did not know that there was an incoming call for the purpose of talking.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to achieve the above object, the present invention switches and connects the line to the facsimile machine in response to a calling signal from the calling party, and then selects a predetermined selection indicating the telephone number. When the signal is sent, the arrival of this selection signal is notified, while the telephone number indicated by the selection signal is temporarily stored in a storage means, and by operating a switch, the telephone number is retrieved from this storage means and written. It is characterized by being expressed in terms of means.

When a telephone number is sent by a selection signal such as a ial pulse) signal, the telephone number indicated by the selection signal is temporarily stored in the storage means. Further, at the same time as the selection signal is received, for example, a lamp starts to be lit to notify that the selection signal has arrived. When a predetermined switch is operated while the lamp is on, the control section retrieves the telephone number data from the storage means, and this telephone number data is written on the storage means or display means or other display means and sent to the other party. phone number will be verified.

In this embodiment, the person handling the called party confirms that the incoming call lamp 15 is lit, operates the print switch 16, and then prints out the paper in the recording section 11 or displays it on the display 18, and then enters the telephone number of the other party. However, in this way, only a specific person can confirm the other party's phone number, so the phone number is not disclosed to an unspecified number of people, and it is possible to maintain confidentiality. However, the recording unit 18 may be activated to record the telephone number upon receiving the telephone number information in response to the voice message, thereby simplifying the operation. In this case, the incoming call lamp 15 and display 18 do not need to operate.
