Abstract

PURPOSE:To exclude cumbersome checking work by classifying an inferior product at an early stage, by detecting welding temp. during welding by using a temp. sensor when an electronic part is welded to a base plate by spot welding and judging welding strength on the basis of the range of the welding temp. being detected. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic head 1 is welded to a base plate 2 by spot welding, a projection 2a is interposed between both of them and an electrode 3 reduced in its diameter is pressed to the base plate without covering the whole of the projection 2a to perform the spot welding. At this time, two infrared temp. sensors 4a, 4b and two sensor heads 5a, 5b are arranged in close vicinity to the welded part and the temp. of the welded part of the base plate 2 is detected by the heads 5a, 5b and wave form processing is performed by a recorder 6. By this method, the peak temp. and temp. width at the time of welding are detected and it is known whether these detected values clear a definite temp. range and bonding strength is judged.

Conventionally, spot welding has been used to attach and secure mounting plates, tape guides, etc. to magnetic heads, but conventionally the strength of the spot welds was measured during the spot welding process to determine if the product was good. There is no method to separate defective products, and generally, after spot welding, they are extracted and tested using a tensile tester or manually.
In particular, the removability was checked.

Further, the infrared temperature sensors 4a and 4b in the present invention detect the peak temperature and temperature width (time) of spot welding,
The adhesive strength of switch welding is judged by determining whether or not both of them clear a certain temperature standard. If either the peak temperature or the temperature range does not reach the standard, the lamp 7 is turned on. This indicates that the product is defective. In addition, to detect the peak temperature, set a certain temperature in advance that will result in a good product, and check whether it exceeds the set temperature or not.The temperature range can also be determined by using the infrared temperature sensor
- 4b is designed to detect whether the response speed is -1- or not with respect to the response speed of 40m5, which is set so that it can follow the temperature rise of spot welding. In addition, the temperature L/7 of the infrared temperature sensor 4a-4b (7) in the implementation of the present invention is 400 to 900@C, and the broken line A in FIG.
The one shown by is a clear peak temperature but the temperature range is insufficient, and the one shown by broken line B is a clear temperature range but the peak temperature is insufficient, both of which are examples of defective products.
