対して所定の摩擦力を保持する連結部材とを備え
、上記両ハブのうちアーマチユアを支持する側の
ハブを、アーマチユアの吸引移動を利用して上記
摩擦力の抗してアーマチユアと同方向へ移動させ
て、アーマチユアとこれに対向する伝動摩擦面間
の空隙を調整するようになした電磁クラツチまた
は電磁ブレーキに設けられ、 上記連結部材を内方・外方ハブのうち一方のハ
ブに対して軸方向以外の方向に対する相対的な動
きを可能とすると共に、上記両ハブ間またはこれ
ら両者間におけるトルク伝達系の部材間に弾性部
材を介在させて、この弾性部材によつて上記スプ
ライン部のバツクラツシに起因するトルク振動を
吸収させるようにした電磁クラツチ・ブレーキの
自動空隙調整装置において、 上記一方のハブに対して軸方向以外の方向に対
する相対的な動きを可能とされた連結部材と、そ
の一方のハブとの接触部分に、該ハブおよび連結
部材のそれぞれの接触面よりも硬質に形成された
シムが介在されたことを特徴とする電磁クラツチ
