The overbody of this air cleaner becomes clogged with dust during use, resulting in an increase in ventilation resistance and a decrease in the amount of intake air. Therefore, after a certain period of use, they should be cleaned or replaced, and an alarm, such as a warning indicator light, is installed to notify you when it is time to clean or replace them. This utilizes the negative pressure that is generated on the clean side of the air cleaner (the side that leads to the internal combustion engine) when the above-mentioned ventilation resistance reaches a certain level. When the negative pressure reaches a certain level, a negative pressure switch is activated. (energized in the open direction) is provided in an electric circuit, and when it is closed, an indicator light in the circuit lights up to issue an alarm.

By the way, after the negative pressure becomes large and becomes an alarm state, if the rotation of the internal combustion engine decreases, the negative pressure becomes smaller and the negative pressure switch is opened, but even in that state, the alarm needs to be maintained. For this purpose, a holding circuit is formed, and even if the negative pressure switch is opened, the electromagnet in the holding circuit prevents the indicator light circuit from being disconnected (this is called a consumption type, and the circuit is explained in Figure 2). (described later). Therefore,
Once the indicator light turns on, it will continue to light even if the internal combustion engine is stopped and the air cleaner is removed for cleaning or replacement, and even if the overbody is reinstalled. is provided with a holding circuit release switch (push button type, corresponding to 5 in FIG. 2). This is normally closed, but can be opened temporarily by operation, and is normally operated after the removed overbody has been reinstalled to turn off the indicator light and return to its original state.

In this case, if the driver forgets to clean but mistakenly assumes that the vehicle has been cleaned, since the indicator light is on during driving, the driver assumes that he has forgotten to operate the release switch and operates the release switch. In this case, the clogged excess body is used as is, and the indicator light is not illuminated at low engine speeds, so the internal combustion engine is operated with a lack of intake air.

Next, as mentioned above, if the indicator light stays on even while removing the excess body, it results in wasted current consumption, so in order to avoid this, operate the release switch before removing the excess body. It will be a good thing. However, if you forget to clean or replace it after doing so, the same thing will happen when the internal combustion engine is operated again.

Next, a non-consumption type, which improves the current consumption of the above-mentioned type, will be explained. This is Jitsuganeaki
No. 56-129330, ``Air cleaner clogging alarm device,'' has already been filed, and a negative pressure switch and a key switch for internal combustion engine operation are interposed in series between the lighting circuit and the power supply, and the indicator light is The lighting holding means is mechanically engaged with the opening/closing switch of the indicator light in the closed state. Therefore, once the indicator lamp is turned on, it remains lit even if the negative pressure subsequently decreases, but when the key switch is opened to stop operation of the internal combustion engine, the indicator lamp goes out. However, in this state, the lighting circuit is maintained, so when the key switch is closed after cleaning the body, the indicator light will turn on. Therefore, another electromagnet is required to release the mechanical connection of the on/off switch of the indicator light, and the electric circuit has a release switch in the middle and is connected to the power supply.
The release switch is normally open, and after replacing the overbody, the release switch is temporarily closed to release the mechanical connection.

The present invention has improved the above-mentioned points, and when the overload is clogged and an alarm state occurs, the clogging alarm electric circuit is activated even if the engine load or rotation speed decreases or even if the engine operation is stopped. In addition to ensuring that the negative pressure switch remains maintained, removing the overbody for cleaning or replacement involves operating a release switch that cancels the alarm, and the negative pressure switch is a self-holding type. A release switch is installed in the air cleaner between the lower part of the overbody and the lower part of the air cleaner casing, and the release switch is connected to the relay circuit of the overbody and releases the holding circuit. It opens (or closes), and when it is reattached, it closes (or opens) in the same way.

The details of the release switch 5 are as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. First, in the case of the consumption type, in FIG. This threaded portion 30 has two terminals 31 and 32 extending in the axial direction.
is buried therein, and one terminal 31 further extends into the housing 20 to form an elastic contact 33 having a bent tip. The lid 21 has a hole 34 in the center. The end face of the movable member 22 is a thick disc, and the end face becomes a flange part 35. A protruding piece 36 is formed extending from the end face in the axial direction to one side, and a rod-shaped conductor is implanted in the center of the other disc part. A contact point 37 is formed. A spring 23 is interposed between the collar 35 of the movable element 22 and the bottom of the housing 20, and the movable element 22 is biased so as to be pushed outward. The protruding piece 36 passes through the central hole 34 of the lid 21 and protrudes to the outside. Therefore, although not shown, when the overbody 14 is removed, the mover 22 is pushed outward by the spring 23.
Contact points 33 and 37 will be separated. Note that the terminal 32 and the contact 37 are connected by a conductive wire.
The release switch 5 is attached to the air cleaner 1 as shown in FIG.
The threaded part 30 is inserted into the opening 15 provided at the bottom and at a position facing the end surface of the overbody 14.
It is fixed with a nut 16, and in this state the lid 21 is separated from the end surface of the overbody 14. The tip of the protruding piece 36 touches the end surface of the overbody 14, and the contact point 3
3 and 37 are in contact, and the mover 22 is connected to the spring 23
is compressed and positioned inside the casing 20.
Note that the release switch 5 has both contacts 33 and 37 and terminal 3.
Items other than 1 and 32 are made of solid wire material.

Combined air enters the air cleaner 1 through an inlet pipe 10, the dust is passed through a filter body 14, and the purified air is sucked into the engine through an outlet pipe 11. On the other hand, when the ventilation resistance of the overbody 14 exceeds a predetermined value due to excessive dust, the negative pressure switch 2 closes, current flows through the electromagnet M of the relay 4, both switches SW 1 and SW 2 close, and the indicator light 3 lights up. do. Even if the engine load or rotational speed decreases and the engine stops, and the negative pressure switch 2 is opened, current flows to the electromagnet M through the switch SW 2 of the relay 4, and the lighting is maintained. When the overbody 14 is removed for cleaning after the engine has stopped, the force of the spring 23 moves the mover 22, causing the contacts 33 and 37 to separate and open, causing the relay 4 to open.
The current flowing through the electromagnet M is cut off, switch SW 2 is opened, the initial state is restored, and the holding function is released. In this state, when the overbody 14 is cleaned and the overbody 14 is attached again, the protruding piece 36 is removed from the overbody 14.
It is pressed by the four end faces, and the contacts 33 and 37 come into contact, resulting in a normal state.

When the overbody 14 is removed for cleaning after the engine has stopped, the force of the spring 23 moves the movable element 22', causing the contacts 33 and 37' to come into contact and close, releasing the mechanical engagement of the indicator light open/close switch. Current flows through the electromagnet, opening the indicator light switch, returning to the initial state and releasing the holding function. In this state, the overbody 14 is cleaned and then the overbody 14 is cleaned again.
When it is attached, the protruding piece 36 is pushed by the end face of the overbody 14, and the contacts 33 and 37' are separated to return to the normal state.

As described above, according to the air cleaner device of the present invention, the alarm circuit is maintained even if the negative pressure or rotational speed of the engine decreases, or even if the engine is stopped, so that cleaning and replacement of excess bodies can be performed reliably. be exposed. Furthermore, since the release switch is operated at the same time as removing the excess body for cleaning, there is no chance of forgetting or erroneously operating the release switch. You can reliably determine the presence or absence.
