Prior Art Conventionally, sidewalks have been paved with concrete paving blocks or tar paving. However, in this kind of pavement, the pavement surface is not permeable, so all the rain that falls flows into the drains and does not seep into the basement, making it useless for replenishing groundwater. For this reason, it is also a cause of ground subsidence in urban areas. Generally, street trees are installed along sidewalks, but as mentioned above, all of the rain that falls does not become groundwater but instead flows into drainage ditches, which is disadvantageous in that there is no supplementary water supply for the street trees. On the other hand, Japan has a large amount of natural pine resources, and because it contains a lot of tannin, it has the characteristic of being resistant to rot compared to other woods such as cedar. Because of this, pine is difficult to make into pulpwood, and has traditionally been used for utility poles, sleepers, etc., taking advantage of the above-mentioned advantages. However, in recent years, utility poles, railroad ties, etc. have been replaced with concrete ones, and the use of pine trees has become less common, and pine trees tend to be left over.

Example Hereinafter, an example that embodies this invention will be described.
This will be explained according to FIG. The pavement member 1 for the sidewalk is made by soaking pine logs 2 cut into pieces with a diameter of about 10 cm and a length of 30 to 50 cm in a preservative and insect repellent, and then applying a preservative and insect repellent treatment to the logs, and then attaching a plurality of logs to at least one end surface. It is formed by bundling together with cables 3 in a state in which the cables are located on substantially the same plane. Log 2
are tied together so that the top surface forms a rectangle approximately 1 to 2 square meters in size. Among the plurality of logs 2, logs 2a having approximately twice the length of the other logs 2 and having pointed tips are arranged here and there.

The spacer 4 is made of colored synthetic resin, and is composed of a cylindrical part 4a having four curved surfaces corresponding to the surface of the log 2 and a top plate part 4b covering the upper end of the cylindrical part 4a, as shown in FIGS. has been done. A drainage hole 5 having a smaller diameter than the tip of the heel of a high heel is formed in the top plate portion 4b.

When paving a sidewalk using the sidewalk paving member 1, as shown in FIG. 4, the ground of the sidewalk that requires paving is first excavated using a excavator to form a subgrade 6. Next, gravel on the roadbed 6,
A hardened roadbed 7 is formed by spreading sand, etc., and applying point pressure to the gravel, sand, etc. Then the roadbed 7
After the sidewalk paving members 1 are arranged on top of the pavement members 1, they are pushed in to a predetermined depth using a bucket hoe equipped with a plate-like attachment 8 of 2 to 3 square meters in place of the bucket.
Next, in order to fill the space 9 formed by the adjacent logs 2 of the sidewalk paving member 1, the spacer 4 is driven into the space 9 using the backhoe. After completing the insertion of the spacer 4 into the space 9,
The paving work is completed by smoothing the upper surface of the sidewalk paving member 1 using a sander. In this case, by appropriately selecting the color of the spacer 4, the image of the sidewalk can be changed to one suitable for a shopping district, a residential district, etc.

In the sidewalk paved in this way, rainwater seeps underground through the drainage holes 5 formed between the logs 2 and the spacers 4 or in the spacers 4. Therefore, unlike conventional sidewalks, there is no reduction in groundwater, and supplementary water is effectively supplied to street trees. Furthermore, the phenomenon of slipping on the sidewalk when it rains is also reduced. Another advantage is that the phenomenon of solar radiation in the summer is also weakened.

Note that this invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and for example, as shown in FIG.
A plurality of drain holes 5 may be provided in the drain hole 5, the drain hole 5 may be used as a display means for the blind, the spacer 4 may be formed as a solid body instead of a cylindrical body, or rubber may be used as the material of the spacer 4. Also, as shown in Figure 7, log 2
In the sidewalk pavement member 1 in which the logs are arranged in a staggered manner and tied together with ropes 3, the shape of the space 9 formed by the logs 2 is different from that of the previous embodiment, so in that case, as shown in FIG. A spacer 4 having a substantially triangular planar shape is used.

Effects As detailed above, this invention aims to fill the space formed by adjacent logs of a sidewalk paving member formed by tying together multiple logs, by increasing the number of logs forming the space. By forming drainage holes with a diameter smaller than the tip of the heel of a high heel on the top surface of a member with a corresponding surface and approximately the same length as the log, it is possible to reduce the diameter of the log when used for paving sidewalks. In addition to eliminating looseness due to unevenness, it does not cause any hindrance to pedestrians wearing high heels, etc. Moreover, it not only allows for good drainage when it rains, but also allows rainwater to be recycled into groundwater. This has an excellent effect of preventing groundwater loss and ground subsidence, as well as effectively replenishing water for street trees.
