Traditionally, after cooking rice, the presence of char on the bottom of the pot was indispensable as a condition for delicious cooking, but due to commercial restrictions on rice cookers for commercial use, it was impossible to use rice cookers that could not be charred. Because of this demand, we were forced to use what is called a rice cooking sheet. This rice cooking sheet is sometimes made of an aluminum plate and sometimes a Teflon glass sheet. In the case of an aluminum plate, if the bottom of the pot and the aluminum plate are not in close contact, there will be insufficient heat conduction and convection, resulting in unevenly cooked rice. In the case of Teflon sheets, the quality of the rice is good, but they have drawbacks such as high cost and durability, such as tearing and cutting.

A rice cooking sheet 40 is spread on the inner bottom of the pot 6, and washed rice 37 and a predetermined amount of water 38 are stored in the pot 6. When you lower the lever knob 36 and start energizing,
The sheathed heaters 17, 18, and 19 generate heat and heat the pot 6. As the pot heats up, the temperature inside the pot rises and the rice 37 starts to absorb water, and after a predetermined period of time, the water in the pot 6 runs out, and when the temperature at the bottom of the pot 6 suddenly rises, a heat-sensitive device that is in close contact with the bottom of the pot 6 The temperature of the sheathed heaters 17, 18, and 19 also rises rapidly, and the operation of the heat-sensitive device 22 immediately cuts off the current, and the heat generation of the sheathed heaters 17, 18, and 19 is also stopped. However, sheathed heater 1
7, 18, and 19 have a large heat capacity, so even if the electricity is turned off and the heat generation is stopped, the temperature is maintained at several hundred degrees or more, further heating the outside bottom of the pot 6. At this time, since the temperature at the inner bottom of the pot 6 was 150° C. or higher in the experiment, charring was clearly observed.
However, when the rice cooking sheet 40 is provided at the inner bottom of the pot, scorching occurs between the inner bottom of the pot 6 and the rice cooking sheet 4.
There is only the side sandwiched between the rice cooker sheets 40 and the rice 37, and no burnt part is seen between the rice cooking sheet 40 and the rice 37. Further, since the rice cooking sheet 40 is made of silicone rubber, it is elastic, has good adhesion to the pot 6, is inexpensive, and poses no problem in terms of food hygiene. Also, pot 6
By ensuring that the rice cooking sheet 40 and the rice 37 are in close contact with each other, uneven cooking of the rice does not occur, and the performance of the rice cooker does not deteriorate. Furthermore, since it is made of silicone rubber, it is easy to use, and easy to clean and maintain.

Next, according to our experiments, the dimensions of the rice cooking sheet are: hole pitch a = 5 ~ 15 mm, through hole b = 1.5 ~
3 mm, and thickness c is best within the range of 0.3 to 1.0 mm.
In this case, the rice will be good without burning or uneven cooking during cooking. If the thickness c is less than 0.3mm, scorching will occur, and it will become difficult to use.
It has drawbacks that make it difficult to handle. When it becomes 1.0mm or more,
This has the disadvantage that heat transfer from the pot 6 is poor, resulting in poor rice quality and uneven cooking.

In addition, by making the through hole b' near the heat sensitive device 22 larger than the other through holes b, 3.5 to 4.5 mm,
It also prevents premature burning and produces fragrant melanoidin.
