本発明は、王として自動車の塗装に適用される塗膜形成
方法に関し、更に詳細には下塗9塗膜と中塗り塗膜と上
塗V塗膜とから成る深味と重厚感の有る複層塗膜の形成

(発明が解決しようとする問題点)
ところで、最近ユーザーの高級指向に伴って、塗装外観
が単に美麗なだけでなく、深味や重厚感の有る塗装が要
求されているが、かかる要求を満すべく、従来は上塗り
塗料を薄く幾層にも重ね塗りするを一般とし、手間がか
かる上、上塗り塗料には耐候性の有る高価な顔料が使用
されているのでコストが嵩み、安価に且つ簡便に深味や
重厚感の有る塗装を行い得られるようにすることが望ま

(問題点を解決するための手段)
本発明は、上記目的を達成すべく、下塗り塗膜と中塗り
塗膜と上塗り塗膜とから成る複層塗膜の形成方法におい
て、中塗り塗膜を、上塗り塗膜に近似した明度のグレー
色の下層中塗り塗膜と、上塗り塗膜に近似した色相と明
度を持つ上層中塗り塗膜との2層に形成することを特徴

上塗り塗膜では得られない塗膜の療法や重厚感が、上塗

(実施例)
第1図を参照し7て、(1)は自動車車体等の被塗装物
を示し、該被塗装物(1)を脱脂、化成処理した後逸常
の電着塗装を施して焼付乾燥することにより下塗り塗膜
(2)を形成し、次いで後記する上塗り塗膜に近似した
明度のグレー色塗料を塗装して焼付乾燥することにより
下層中塗り塗膜(3)を形成し、その上に上塗り塗膜に
近似した色相と明度を持つ着色塗料を塗装して焼付乾燥
することにより上層中塗り塗膜(4)を形成し、最後に
上塗9塗料を塗装して焼付乾燥し、上塗り塗膜(5)を

いて、上記の如く塗膜全形成し、完成塗膜の療法、重厚

滑性と療法とを担うグレー色の下層中塗や塗膜と、主に
療法と重厚感とを担う上層中塗り塗膜との2層に形成す
ることで、療法と重厚感を持った平滑な塗膜を容易に得
られ、上塗り塗料金型ね撚りする場合に比しコストダウ

層塗膜の形成方法において、中塗り塗膜を、上塗り塗膜
に近似した明度のグレー色の下層中塗り塗膜と、上塗り
塗膜に近似した色相と明度を持つ上層中塗り塗膜との2
層に形成することを特徴とする塗膜形成方法。 2、下層中塗り塗膜及び上層中塗り塗膜と上塗り塗膜と
の明度差をマンセル表示で±1以下としたことを特徴と
