Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable recording with constant density, by employing an ink sheet having a portion applied with no ink material corresponding to one recording face and performing simulated recording operation on said transparent portion prior to execution of actual recording thereby eliminating uneven recording density at the start of recording. CONSTITUTION:An ink sheet 4 has a transparent section 7 applied with no ink material corresponding to one recording face followed by sections 8, 9, 10, 11 corresponding to one recording face being applied respectively with thermally fusible ink material of yellow, magenta, cyan and black. Immediately after start of recording, it is checked whether recording has been carried out within a predetermined time, and when recording has been performed within predetermined time, recording is carried out immediately according to respective recording information of yellow, magenta, cyan and black.
