Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive paint which prevents an increase in bending resistance and has good hardness, by using a specified isocyanate source compd. and a polyester polyol as binders and scaly carbon powder and resinous carbon powder as electrically conductive materials. CONSTITUTION:Electrically conductive paint contains a binder component consisting of 4-7pts.wt. isocyanate source compd. composed of a trimethylolpropane adduct of hexamethylene diisocyanate blocked with imidazole and 100pts.wt. polyester polyol and an electrically conductive component consisting of 80-150pts.wt. scaly silver powder and 90-160pts.wt. resinous silver powder. A coating film obtd. by the paint can inhibit an increase in bending resistance to 10 times or lower the initial value and has good characteristics such as a pencil hardness of 2H or above. Thus, the paint can be used for printed wiring boards, resistors, electrodes, etc., of input apparatuses for office automation equipment.

Prior Art Conventionally, this type of conductive paint was disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-80443.
As described in the publication, a regenerated incyanate obtained by blocking an adduct of inphorone diisocyanate and trimethylolpropane with imidazole, a resin having active hydrogen as a binder component, and a conductive material are used. The cured coating film was cured at low temperature and in a short time, and had good properties as a cured coating.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In recent years, membrane switches have become mainstream for keyboard switches in response to market demands for lower prices. Now, for the contact part of a membrane switch, a spacer is sandwiched between two polyester films (upper and lower), on which the contact part and the circuit pattern connecting it are printed with conductive paint, to create an appropriate gap between the opposing contact parts. In response to the miniaturization and thinning of keyboards, the polyester film is sometimes used by folding it.However, with conventional conductive paints, if only scaly silver powder is used as the conductive material, The resistance of the folded circuit pattern increases. If only dendritic silver powder is used, the hardness of the coating film will be poor. Furthermore, when a hydrocarbon type solvent is used, the compatibility becomes 1.0%, and when an alcohol type solvent is used, there is a problem that the resistance value increases due to reaction with the resin. The object of the present invention is to provide a conductive paint that solves these conventional problems.
