Conventionally, ink containing sublimable dyes is printed on a support such as paper to make transfer paper, and then this is printed on fabric,
The method of transferring the dye by placing it on an object to be transferred such as paper, a metal or its oxidized surface, or a molded plastic product and heating it is known as a sublimation transfer printing method. This transfer paper is usually manufactured by printing using methods such as gravure printing, offset printing, and silk screen printing, and is easy to manufacture. It is relatively difficult to obtain with the above printing method. In other words, the image on the transfer paper is originally a faithful print of the image on the plate, and the expression of the image is influenced by the plate-making technology, and the blurring pattern also depends on the expression technique from the light part to the highlight part. Good or bad depends on it. Furthermore, in methods such as offset printing, it is common to express patterns using halftone dots, but the natural feel of the above-mentioned marble, wood grain, genuine leather, etc. patterns is spoiled by the halftone dots.

The present invention has been made under these circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing transfer paper having a blurred pattern that is uniform and evenly blurred over the entire surface by a simpler method.

That is, the present invention is a method for transferring a blurred pattern, which is characterized in that a pattern is printed on a support such as paper or plastic film with an ink containing a sublimable dye, and then processed in a vapor atmosphere of a solvent that dissolves the dye. It is a paper manufacturing method.

The solvent used in the present invention is an organic solvent such as ketones or aromatic hydrocarbons, and by leaving paper, film, etc. printed with ink containing sublimable dye in this vapor for several hours, the pattern will dissolve and migrate. It's blurry. For example, in a container such as a desiccator that contains a large amount of acetone vapor, a paper with a pattern printed with an ink containing a sublimable disperse dye is placed inside, and the container is heated for about 10 minutes.
The pattern will become blurred if you leave it for a while. For this reason, for example, even in a picture having halftone dots, the halftone dots are eliminated. The degree of blurring can be controlled by selecting the solvent, temperature, and time.

A marble pattern was printed using ink. Thereafter, this was placed in a desiccator containing acetone and left for a day and night, and the printed marble pattern became evenly blurred and a natural-looking marble pattern was formed.

(2) Next, wrap this transfer paper around an anodized fountain pen cap and secure it with heat-resistant tape.
After processing for 1 minute in an oven at 100°C, the transfer paper was peeled off and the cap was sealed to obtain a fountain pen cap with a very natural marble tone.

(3) Apply the same transfer paper to an aluminum ski stock with baking acrylic paint.
Bake at 180℃ for 3 minutes, wrap around
After fixing with heat-resistant tape and processing at 200°C for 1 minute, the transfer paper was peeled off to obtain ski stocks with a good blurred marble pattern.
