Conventionally, dryers have generally been configured to open and close the dried material inlet/outlet of the outer box with a door, and hot air is drawn into the drum through an inlet and an outlet (ventilation channel) formed near the dried material inlet/outlet. It allows warm air to flow in and out.

However, in general, in a dryer, as the drying progresses, the moisture contained in the dried material decreases, so the temperature of the hot air flowing out from the drum increases. Therefore, the temperature of the hot air discharge path rises, and the temperature of the dry matter inlet and outlet also rises due to heat transfer. During this drying process, if you open the door and put your hand in to take out the drying material, if you touch the area near the drying material entrance, you may feel the heat and reflexively withdraw your hand. - There is a risk of injury from hitting your arm or other parts of the body.

Now, 39 is a thermally responsive member made of, for example, a bimetal, which is fixed to the side wall 17a of the discharge passage cover portion 17 of the entrance/exit cover 10 in the vicinity of the dried material entrance/exit 11 so as to protrude into the discharge passage 19. The end face 39a protrudes outward in an arc shape at normal temperature, and when the temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature, it is reversed and the end face 39a protrudes outward in an arc shape.

This is an engagement hole provided in 2a and corresponding to the locking pin 41. In addition, 44 shown in FIG. 1 is a timer, which energizes the motor 33 and heater 14 during the timekeeping operation, turns off the heater 14 several minutes before the end of the timekeeping operation, and turns off the power to the motor 33 when the timekeeping operation ends. It is something to do.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. After putting the dry matter into the drum 3 from the dry matter entrance 11, the door 1
2 is closed and the timer 44 is set, the motor 33 and the heater 14 are energized, and the rotation of the motor 33 rotates the drum 3 and pulley 36, as well as the fan shaft 27, via the belts 35 and 38, and the fan shaft 27 is rotated. and both fan devices 21 and 24 for cold air.
Both fans 23 and 26 are rotated. As a result, hot air heated by the heater 14 is supplied into the drum 3 to dry the dry matter inside, and then passed through the exhaust duct 18 to the hot air fan device 2.
After passing through the first passage of the heat exchanger 28, it is heated by the heater 14 and supplied into the drum 3 again. In addition, outside air is sucked in from the intake port 32 by the cold air fan device 24, flows through the second passage of the heat exchanger 28, and is passed through the exhaust port 32.
In this process, the hot air flowing through the first passage is cooled, moisture in the hot air is removed, and moisture contained in the dried material is reduced. Accordingly, the amount of heat consumed to evaporate water within the drum 3 also decreases, so the temperature within the drum 3 and the temperature of the hot air discharged from the drum 3 increases. Accordingly, the temperature of the thermally responsive member 39 attached to the side wall 17a of the discharge passage cover portion 17 increases gradually as the degree of dryness of the dried material increases, and finally exceeds a predetermined temperature, so that the end surface 39a of the thermally responsive member 39 is as shown in FIG. The inner surface presses one end of the locking pin 41, and the other end of the locking pin 41 is ejected from the side wall 17a toward the door 12 against the elastic force of the compression spring 42. It is engaged with the engagement hole 43 of the door 12, thereby engaging with the engagement hole 43, thereby locking the door 12 in the closed state.
Then, several minutes before the completion of drying, the heater 14 is cut off, so that cold air circulates inside the drum 3. As a result, the dried material is cooled and the drying operation is completed.
The thermally responsive member 39 is also cooled down to a low temperature by the passage of this cold air, so its end surface 39a protrudes outward again, and the engagement pin 41 is moved once again to the thermally responsive member 39 by the elastic force of the compression spring 42. The engagement pin 41 and the engagement hole 43 are disengaged, and the door 12 returns to its openable state.

According to the above embodiment, as the drying of the dried material progresses, the temperature of the hot air increases, and therefore the drying material inlet/outlet 1
When the peripheral wall near 1 becomes high temperature, the thermally responsive member 3
9 is deformed to form the locking pin 41 and the engagement hole 4 of the door 12.
3 and locks the door 12 in the closed state, the door 12 cannot be opened when the surrounding wall near the drying material entrance 11 is hot, and as a result, the door 12 is opened and the drying material entrance 11 is locked. Safety can be ensured by preventing hands and arms from inadvertently touching the nearby high-temperature peripheral wall.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments. For example, a shape memory alloy may be used as the thermally responsive member, and the door 12 may be locked by deforming the shape memory alloy at a predetermined temperature or higher. Good etc.
Various modifications are possible without departing from the gist.

As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention locks the door by providing a heat-responsive member that deforms when the temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature near the drying material entrance.
