The kitchen sink is often placed in front of a window to let in natural light and ventilate the kitchen. Also, since the kitchen uses fire such as a gas range, it is important to avoid wind blowing into the kitchen. For fire prevention reasons, it is appropriate to have a wall in front of the gas range, and the opening is often in front of the sink. On the other hand, the kitchen has an extremely large number of cooking utensils, so a large amount of storage space is required, and since many of the cooking utensils are washed with water, a place for draining them also requires a considerable amount of space. Traditionally, a shelf is hung in front of the sink as a window, which serves as part of the draining area. However, in such a window sash, the opening is made of a wooden frame, and a sash flange is abutted and fixed near the outside of the inner periphery of the opening. When utensils are placed, the water sometimes drips and falls onto the wooden opening frame on the window sill. Also, it may flow through the wooden frame towards the indoor side and be transmitted to the wall surface. To avoid this, the edge of the sink is covered with a stainless steel water guide plate so that the water flows into the sink.

As described above, conventional window sashes do not take adequate measures for the lower frame of the opening frame. On the other hand, there are windows that extend the lower frame of the sash to the top of the window sill at the opening, but simply covering the window sill does not change the drainage of the water over the sink and the width of the storage area from the kitchen sink area. This is not sufficient as a water countermeasure.

Sliding shoji screens are often used for kitchen windows, but if you use sliding shojis, you will have to put your hand between the shelves where kitchen utensils are placed and pull the shoji, but when you do so, the kitchen utensils may end up leaning against the shoji. In addition, if the sliding shoji is heavy, it is difficult to handle it because you don't have enough strength in your hands.

To solve these problems, some kitchens use a bay window in front of the sink, but even a bay window does not solve the drainage problem, and it is still difficult to open and close the shoji screen. Although the space for placing kitchen utensils increases, it is still suitable for women's working range, i.e. approximately 55cm in front in a standing position.
cm, and the disadvantage is that it deviates from the top by about 160 cm, making it nothing more than a storage room.

This idea solved the first problem of conventional kitchen window sashes, providing good drainage and enough space to put things, and solving the second problem, the shoji can be easily opened and closed. The purpose of this invention is to provide a kitchen window sash that can be used in a kitchen.

This idea extends the lower frame of the window sash opening frame above the window sill to the indoor side longer than the interior wall surface, has a wide fitting section on the inside center, and fits single-sliding shoji on both sides of the section. It is installed on the side, and a screen door can be placed on the outside of the single sliding shoji, and a vertical lattice can be placed on the outside.

Water falling from the washed items placed on the draining rack 5 falls on the inner periphery of the lower frame 7, flows along the inner periphery water gradient, and drips onto the indoor sink. Outer lower frame 7a
The water that falls from the gap between the protrusion 17 of the inner lower frame 7b and the fitting part 18 passes through the drain hole 38 from above the flange 19, and flows onto the member 42 with a water gradient in the cylindrical body 87 of the outer lower frame 7a. It exits the room through the drain hole 41.

Since the lower frame 7 is provided with an overhang as shown in FIG. Do not allow water to enter between the sink and the wall. In the embodiment, the width of the draining shelf 5 is matched to the width of the fitting part, but since both sleeves are equipped with single sliding shoji, even if the draining shelf is installed to fill the entire width of the window, it is difficult to put your hand in while items are placed. When opening and closing, the shoji is small and light and easy to move.

As described above, according to the window sash of this invention, since the inner frame is connected and fixed to the external sash, it is easy to transport and easy to install. The inner periphery of the inner frame is approximately flat, making it easy to clean. The lower frame of the inner frame can be provided with a flat surface across the indoor side, so kitchen utensils can be placed on it. This surface can be made large enough to protrude inward from the indoor wall surface to place items, and can be made suitable for work by a person standing in front of the sink. The water dripping from washed items placed on the draining shelf can be made to drip onto the sink. Since T-groove grooves are provided on the inner peripheral side of the upper frame of the inner frame, and the pieces are movably fitted into each groove, the draining shelf can be attached in any size. In the example, even when a draining shelf, which will be described later, is fixed to the shoji in the center of the external sash, it is also suspended from the grooves of the upper frame of the inner frame via pieces and machine screws, so there is no uneven load on the shoji. The width of the shelf can be increased because there is less load on the shelf.
Since the outer upper frame and the inner upper frame, and the outer vertical frame and the inner vertical frame are butted together with airtight gaskets, the inner upper frame and the inner vertical frame are insulated and no condensation occurs.

Further, in the embodiment, the fitting part 1 is fixed as a shoji frame to the protrusion of the upper frame and the rail of the lower frame of a normal sliding sash, but this may be used as a movable shoji as it is. Although not shown in the figure, a draining shelf may be fixedly installed on a fixed shoji or a movable shoji, and if a draining shelf is provided on a movable shoji, the whole shelf can be moved without having to stretch out your hand. Windows can be opened and closed.
