(Prior art) Conventionally, one-sided water-repellent treated fabric and its manufacturing method involve using a treatment solution in which an aqueous solution containing a water-repellent agent is thickened with a water-soluble glue such as a cellulose derivative or polyvinyl alcohol. A method of applying back starch to a fabric using a kiss roll or a doctor is known. Also known is a method in which a polyurethane elastomer solution is coated on one side of a fabric and coagulated by a wet or dry process to form a breathable film, and then the fabric is treated to be water repellent.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) When trying to obtain a one-sided water-repellent fabric coated with a water-repellent agent thickened with a sizing agent such as polyvinyl alcohol or a cellulose derivative, it is necessary to obtain sufficient water-repellency. In order to obtain this, the glue must be removed, which complicates the process. Furthermore, in the method of applying a polyurethane elastomer and then applying a water-repellent treatment, it is difficult to control the air permeability, and the cost increases due to the complicated process. Furthermore, when applying water-repellent treatment to one side of a fabric with excellent elasticity and flexibility and a relatively small basis weight, it is difficult to impart water-repellency to one side through back-stitching, and the fabric retains its original untreated texture. There is a difficulty in applying water repellent treatment to one side of the fabric.

This invention relates to a method for producing a one-sided water-repellent fabric, which comprises applying a solution having a concentration of 20,000 centipoise to one side of a fabric containing hydrophilic fibers at a rate of 0.2 to 20 g/m 2 as a total solid content, drying, and heat-treating.

The processing agent consisting essentially of the above-mentioned components A, B, C, and D contains 10 to 88% by weight of component A, 10 to 88% by weight of component B, 2 to 50% by weight of component C, and 0 to 50% by weight of component D. In particular, in order to obtain a stretchable, single-sided water-repellent hydrophilic fiber-containing fabric, which is the objective of the present invention, the blending ratio of component B is important; In order to control the viscosity of the processing agent that consists essentially of components B, C, and D, the molecular weight of component B, degree of copolymerization, etc.
Within the range of ~50% by weight, the viscosity of the treatment agent is ~2000~
20000 centipoise, more preferably 3500~

If the solution viscosity of the treatment agent is 2000 poise or less, when processing stretchable hydrophilic fiber-containing fabrics (knitted fabrics with a basis weight of 200 g/ m2 or less), the treatment agent will not transfer from one side to the other side to be processed. It is difficult to control the coating on only one side, especially when coating with a regular rotary screen or RC type rotary screen coating machine. Moreover, if it exceeds 20,000 poise, it tends to be difficult to control uniform coating, and there is little profit in terms of handling.

If necessary, add a catalyst, a reaction accelerator, a stabilizer, and an ultraviolet absorber to the treatment agent solution adjusted to 20,000 centipoise, and treat the hydrophilic fiber-containing fabric with a water-absorbing agent if necessary. Coating or printing with a normal rotary screen or RC type rotary screen coating machine so that the total solid content of 2 is applied,
Perform drying and curing. It goes without saying that the hydrophilic fiber-containing fabric to be subjected to the processing may have been previously subjected to bleaching, dyeing, printing, yarn dyeing, etc. The resulting processed fabric has water repellency with excellent washing durability, excellent elasticity with a good texture, and can be used for golf wear, etc., and can be played in drizzle or light rain without getting wet. It is something that can be done.

Drying was performed at 120°C, and curing was performed at 160°C for 1.5 minutes. The obtained treated fabric has a water repellency of 100 on one side, and after 5 home washings, the water repellency on one side is 80 or higher, and the other side completely retains its water absorbency before processing, and has a good texture. It had a good feel similar to that of unprocessed cloth and had excellent elasticity.
