従来のこの種のガスケツトとしては、昭和45年
3月25日株式会社図書出版社発行の新編自動車工

のがある。また、第1図に示すようなものも提案
されせている。この例はロツカ・カバ−1をシリ
ンダ・ヘツド2に装着する際に使用するガスケツ
ト3を示すものである。このガスケツト3のA−
A断面は一般に第2図aに示すように略円形を有
しており、ボルト貫通部3aにボルト穴3bが形
成され、第1図のB−B断面は第2図bに示すよ
うなド−ナツ状に成形されている。これは、面圧
を上げ油密を保つためである。また、ロツカ・カ
バ−1からの発音を防止するため厚くなつてお
り、しかも耐熱・耐油性のゴム等の軟質材料で環
状に成形されている。

取付座2aをはずれ、間隔Lの生ずる危険性があ
り、このためこの間隔Lからオイルもれの恐れが
あるという問題点があつた。

た金属,合成樹脂等からなる芯材である。芯材1
4の挿入されたガスケツト13のC−C断面,D
−D断面を第5図a,bに示す。芯材14はガス
ケツト13の所要部分、例えば第5図aのように
ガスケツト13の中心部に挿入され、ボルト貫通
部13aでは第5図bのように外側に露出してい
る。この芯材14の露出は型でガスケツト13を
成形する際、この露出部で芯材14を外部から保
持しておくためであり、したがつて、ボルト貫通
部13aの外側に円孤状に沿せて芯材14を露出
さる。こうすることにより、もともとガスケツト
13がボルト貫通部13aを形成するため、この
部分で膨出しているので、これのさらに外側に芯
材14が円孤状に露出していれば保持がきわめて
容易になると同時に、ボルト貫通部13aの部分
のガスケツト13の外側を保護する作用もある。

以上説明したように、この考案は断面が略円形
で耐熱・耐油性の軟質材料で、環状に成形され、

成としたので、芯材がガスケツトの全周の中心部

トの形状保持特性が向上し、したがつて従来のよ
うに取付ボルトの締付によつてもボルト穴間にた
るみを生ずることなく、オイルもれを生じること
もない。しかも芯材の露出部分をボルト貫通部を
形成するための膨出部の外側に円孤状に設けてい
るので外部からきわめて容易に保持できるので、
ガスケツトの成形が容易で、かつ均質の製品が得
られる。さらに、ガスケツトは締付けによつて外
方に膨出しようとする傾向があり、これはボルト
貫通部で特に著しいが、この考案では円孤状に露
出させた芯材が前記膨出を阻止するように作用す
るので、ガスケツトの変形が少ない。また、形状
保持特性が向上するため組付作業の効率が向上す
る等の効果が得られる。
