Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic apparatus which can be operated easily, by constituting it so that a contrast adjusting means and an inclination angle adjusting means can be interlocked. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 12 is used for varying a resistance value of a rotary volume 11 and directly coupled with a supporting shaft 4 of a display device by a joint 14. The volume 11 varies a contrast of a liquid crystal plate 5 through a control circuit 13 in accordance with a rotational angle of the shaft 12. The resistance value of the volume 11 is changed so that an optimum contrast is obtained at the time of a rotational angle thetaalpha of the display device 2, at which the most easily visible visual angle of field alpha is obtained. A relation of the optimum angle of field alpha and a turning angle of the shaft 12 for obtaining the optimum contrast is set by an initial adjustment of the joint 14. According to this constitution, an operator can allow the liquid crystal plate 5 to hold the optimum contrast by only adjusting the volume to match his own angle of field alpha, and only raising up the display device to the angle alpha at the time of use.

[Prior Art] In conventional electronic devices of this type, the inclination angle of the display device is adjusted so that the operator can easily see the display device by aligning it with his/her own eye position or in a position where it can be avoided from reflected light from external factors. Many of them are adjustable. In addition, if a liquid crystal is used for the display device, it is necessary to adjust contrast 1 to last to make it easier for the operator to see the viewing angle to the display device. It has been carried out using.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, in such conventional electronic devices,
There is no relationship between adjusting the contrast to obtain a brightness that is easy to see and adjusting the tilt angle of the display device. Therefore, contrast adjustment had to be performed to obtain the optimum contrast for the image, which was time-consuming and extremely inconvenient.

[Function] According to the electronic device of the present invention, when the display device is raised from the retracted state and its tilt angle approaches a preset angle, the contrast is adjusted in accordance with the change in the angle.
Since the optimum viewing angle or the setting angle to obtain the optimum contrast can be achieved, there is no need to separately adjust the tilt angle and the contrast as in the conventional case.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the invention. This example is applied to a word processor, where 1 is the case,
Reference numeral 2 denotes a liquid crystal display device whose tilt angle can be adjusted, and by raising the display device 2 from the stored state as shown in the figure, a contrast adjustment device can be interlocked as described later. Note that 3 is a keychain. FIG. 2 shows an example of the tilt angle adjustment mechanism of the display device 2, where 4 is a support shaft that supports the display device 2 so that it can be raised and lowered, 5 is a liquid crystal plate, and 6 is a support shaft that supports the display device 2 so that it can be raised and lowered. There is an attached wiring board, and the display signal input by the keychain 3 is sent to the liquid crystal panel 5 via the signal line 7 and the wiring board 6.
is transmitted to. Further, a tooth pattern 8 is carved around the support shaft 4 of the display device 2, and a click member formed by a plate spring is provided at a position corresponding to the tooth pattern 8 in a recess 9 in which the display device 2 is stored. In this example, the inclination angle θ is O.
A tooth pattern 8 is attached to this click member lO between 90 degrees from o.
The display device 2 can be maintained in a freely tilted state by engaging with the display device 2.

FIG. 3 shows a contrast adjustment mechanism that is linked to the tilt angle adjustment mechanism, where 11 is a rotary adjuster, and 12 is a resistance value variable shaft for changing the resistance value of the rotary adjuster 11. Yes, this axis 1
2 and the support shaft 4 of the display device 2 are directly connected through a joint portion 14 . Note that the rotary volume 11 can change the strength of the contrast on the liquid crystal plate 5 via the control circuit 13 in accordance with the rotation angle of the variable resistance shaft 12.

Therefore, in this example, when adjusting the contrast strength related to brightness, the optimal example is when the rotation angle (tilt angle) θα of the display device 2 is such that the viewing angle α described above can be obtained. is to change the resistance value of the rotary adjuster 11 so as to obtain the strongest contrast, and the relationship between the optimum viewing angle α and the rotation angle of the variable shaft 120 that provides the strongest contrast is determined by the joint portion 14. The configuration shall be such that initial adjustment can be made via the .

In the electronic device 100 configured in this way, for example, the operator can simply adjust the rotary volume according to his or her own viewing angle α, and such viewing angle α can be maintained during use. It is possible to maintain the strongest contrast on the liquid crystal panel 5 by only raising the display device 2 up to this point.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, when the operator raises the display device to a state suitable for him/her, the contrast is adjusted so as to obtain the optimum brightness in that state. Therefore, it is possible to provide an electronic device that is easy to use for the operator.
