A representative example of this type of attachment method is the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-212547, which is also known as -S. According to this method, mullions and mullions are attached to the main body side in the same way as with general curtain walls, and a framework is constructed in which the glass will be placed. Glue it to the back side of the glass, top, bottom, left and right edges, with the inside facing up, and prepare for installation. Normally, a glass fitting groove is formed between the mullions and the open spaces, but in this installation method, especially using the edge frame,
Because of the mounting, the support surface on the outdoor side is not needed, and therefore the outdoor side of the glass fitting groove is open. After suspending the glass from this open surface and setting it in the glass fitting groove, insert the legs of the clip into the opening of the frame, and while pulling the clip further into the room with the bolt,
Installation is in progress. At the same time, the edge frame is pressed against the mullions and tight material pre-attached to the mullions to ensure airtightness.

After construction, there is nothing to support the glass in front of the glass, and the joint width is relatively narrow, improving the overall appearance of the building. In this way, the exterior appearance is quite innovative compared to ordinary curtain walls, and many constructions are expected in the future.

In the conventional method, before the glass is erected, a frame must be attached to the back side of the glass and the top, bottom, left and right edges, and in many cases this also needs to be done at a factory, etc., off-site. Many of these factories are far away from the site, and considering the current traffic conditions, it takes a lot of time and money to transport them.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to meet the above-mentioned demands, the present invention attaches a mullion and a mullion to the frame side, and in the upper and lower mullions, the outdoor side of the glass fitting groove is open, while the mullion and the mullion are attached to the frame side. In the vertical position, the frame is provided with a pair of locking flanges extending in the left-right direction, and the frame having a U-shaped cross section is engaged with the locking flange, respectively, and the frame is removably fixed. Fit the top and bottom surfaces of the glass into the above-mentioned slotted fitting grooves, fill the space between the fitting grooves and the frame with back-up material, and then fit the rim into the top and bottom slotted outdoor sides, and then fit the rims between the top and bottom sides of the glass. After packing the bank-up material into the back-up material, a sealing material is filled into all the backup materials, and the sealing material is further filled between the left and right glasses of the mullion, and the glass is attached.

According to the present invention, there is no need to adhere a frame to the back side of the glass in advance, so the glass can be directly attached on site. Furthermore, when replacing the glass, the frame can be unfixed and removed together with the frame without moving the glass from side to side.

On the other hand, the edge frame 3 is formed into a U-shaped cross section by a mounting side 3b and an engaging side 3c extending parallel to the bottom side 3a.
The width of the opening formed by b and 3c is made to be the same as the thickness of the tip of the locking flange 1a so as to prevent rattling in the indoor-outdoor direction. Further, a protrusion 3e is formed at the inner end of the mounting side 3b to stabilize the engagement with the locking flange 1a.
