There are two ways to insert paper into paper: one is done during the paper making stage, and the other is done during printing. and,
There are two types of sukiire: black sukiire and white sukiire.

た。 During the paper making process, paper is passed through the paper machine by using a paper machine's slotting screen with irregularities.
This is done using a press roll with a protruding pattern as the press roll of the paper machine. Further, in order to perform the blanking by printing, it is performed by so-called blanking printing. The simplest method is to print with ink containing oil and fat dissolved in a suitable solvent to give paper an effect similar to a white watermark. In addition, after forming a watermark pattern layer on a synthetic resin film, a white layer is uniformly formed on both surfaces of the synthetic resin film with a white paint containing clay or made of the same synthetic resin, and then a watermark pattern layer is formed on both surfaces of the synthetic resin film. There are also ways to make paper. However, watermarking in the papermaking process takes a lot of effort and costs a lot of money, and it is not possible to obtain a watermark pattern with rich gradations. In the printed matter using this method, the surface condition of the watermark pattern and the surface condition of the base material are significantly different, so that the desired watermark pattern cannot be obtained.

This is an image forming body having a watermark pattern formed by forming a watermark pattern of the same hue as that of the base material, which has a matte property due to an ink having a high hiding power and is characterized by containing an agent. The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

The watermark pattern is made of a special ink with matte properties and has the same hue as the base material 1. In order for the watermark pattern 2 on the base material 1 made of this special ink to produce a watermark effect, it is necessary to satisfy the following conditions.

If you form a pattern using
It has been found that an image forming body having a watermark pattern 2 that satisfies the above-mentioned conditions and has a watermark effect can be obtained.

As matting agents, microencapsulated chemical and/or physical blowing agents, non-microencapsulated blowing agents, and inorganic substances such as silica and calcium carbonate can be used.

ようになる。 As the matting agent, a pigment with a large particle size, an inorganic substance, or a hollow microcapsule is desired so that the surface of the watermark pattern 2 becomes rough, but the surface is coated with a resin using a chemical or physical foaming agent. Foamed capsules with a particle size of about 5 to 20 μm coated with foam have a particularly good matting effect. 5-20μ for ink that creates a thin film of 2-3μ like offset ink.
If coarse particles such as silica or calcium carbonate were used as a rigid material, it would be difficult not only to print but also to make into ink. However, with flexible particles such as microcapsules, even if the particles are somewhat large, the flexibility allows the microcapsules to be kneaded into the ink without being distorted by the narrow gaps of a triple roll. It can be made into an ink, and can be printed even with an offset printing machine equipped with many kneading rolls, and the matte effect of coarse particles made of microcapsules can also be maintained.

Although the foamed capsules of about 20μ are very large, the surface is covered with a resin film, so it wets well with the vehicle in the ink, does not impair the printability of the ink, and also makes the ink film matte. Therefore, it is excellent as a matting agent. In addition, when a foaming agent is used as the matting agent, after forming the watermark pattern 2 with the ink containing the foaming agent,
By foaming, the thickness of the watermark pattern 2 and the light scattering and unevenness of the surface of the watermark pattern 2 can be increased. The effect of plowing is further improved.

This surface modifying agent is an adjusting agent added to the ink to bring the surface condition of the watermark pattern 2 closer to the surface condition of the base material 1, so the specific surface modification depends on the type of the base material 1. It is necessary to decide on the agent. For example, when a translucent synthetic resin sheet is used as the base material 1, a synthetic resin powder obtained by processing the translucent synthetic resin sheet is used as the surface modifier, and the paper is When used as the base material 1, pulp powder for paper manufacturing or produced from waste paper, cellulose powder, etc. may be used as a surface modifier.

Any printing method such as handwriting, planographic printing, letterpress printing, intaglio printing, or stencil printing can be applied. The watermark pattern 2 is not only formed as a single layer on the base material 1 as shown in FIG.
You can also print it over and over again. If pattern 3 and watermark pattern 2 are combined on base material 1 as shown in Figure 2, watermark pattern 2 will be less noticeable on base material 1, and the watermark effect will be more pronounced. .

ものである。 The image forming body having a watermark effect according to the present invention having the above-described structure is capable of producing a watermark pattern using an ink containing a matting agent and a surface modifier, which has a high hiding power, and has the same hue as the base material. It can be obtained by simply forming it on a base material, and has the effect that a watermark pattern with a watermark effect can be obtained in a very rich gradation and at a desired position with high accuracy. Moreover, since this image-forming body can be obtained by combining it with a pattern made of ordinary ink, it can be used not only for the purpose of preventing forgery, but also for decorative purposes such as general book printing and commercial printing. It is very versatile.

Therefore, the obtained printed matter with watermark effect is
When viewed under reflected light, the watermark pattern cannot be clearly seen, but when viewed through the watermark, the area where the watermark pattern is formed has little light transmission due to the inherent hiding properties of opaque ink, so the watermark pattern is not clearly visible. White) ... 78 parts Matsuto varnish (manufactured by Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd., Matsuto OP)
Varnish) ...10 parts Micropearl F-30 (manufactured by Matsumoto Yushi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.)
...10 parts Pulp fiber powder (KC-Flotsuku W-300 manufactured by Sanyo Kokusaku Pulp Co., Ltd.) ...2 parts Yellow ink (manufactured by Toyo Ink Manufacturing Co., Ltd., TKU Yellow 21)
...Trace gold red ink (manufactured by Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd., TKU Kinred 3) ...Trace amount} The ink with the above composition has foamed capsules kneaded in the same way as the ink shown in Example 1, and also contains foamed capsules in the pine varnish. Calcium carbonate and silicon compounds are mixed in as a coloring agent, so the surface of the watermark pattern formed by this ink is the base material.
It can approximate the gloss of PHO Kent light cream, and since this ink contains pulp fiber powder as a surface modifier, the surface condition of the watermark pattern can be brought closer to that of the base material. I was able to do that. Therefore, when the obtained printed matter with the watermark effect is viewed under reflected light, the watermark pattern is not clearly visible, but when viewed through the watermark, the area where the watermark pattern is formed has little light transmission. , it looked like there was a watermark in it. Furthermore, when this printed matter was heated under the same heating conditions as in Example 1, the watermark effect was improved.
