Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit observation of a hologram from different angles by forming a relief hologram image part on one face of a transparent plastic substrate, providing a partially vapor deposited metallic layer thereon and coating the image part inclusive of said layer with a vapor deposited metal compd. layer. CONSTITUTION:The relief hologram image part 2 having a fine rugged pattern group of 1-2mum in pitch and 0.1-0.3mum in embossing depth is formed on one face of the transparent plastic substrate 1 consisting of a polystyrene resin or polycarbonate resin. The metallic layer 3 consisting of aluminum, chromium or the like is deposited by evaporation on the image part 2 while said layer is positioned at the center thereof and is adjusted to 100-2,000Angstrom film thickness. The metal compd. layer 4 which extends on the layer 2, has both functions to transmit and reflect light and consists of titanium oxide, silicon oxide, zinc oxide, etc., is deposited by evaporation on the end part inclusive of the above- mentioned metallic layer at the thickness adjusted to 100-5,000Angstrom . The entire surface is protected with a synthetic resin film if necessary. Then, the feel of the images are different between the layers 3 and 4 and, therefore, the observation from the different angles is possible.

However, the only products that have a hologram reproduced on a plastic molded product are molded products that have the replicated hologram pasted or transferred onto a sheet-like object, which lacks a sense of unity with the molded product and does not provide a satisfactory effect. I can't. Furthermore, if the light-reflecting layer of the hologram does not transmit light, the molded product to which the hologram is pasted or transferred has the disadvantage that the contents cannot be seen.

The relief hologram image area 2 is formed as a fine uneven pattern group on one side of the transparent plastic base material 1, with a pitch of 1 to 2 μm and an embossing depth of 0.1 to 0.
.. It is 3 μm. To form a hologram uneven pattern on the surface of a transparent plastic substrate, a standby plate for forming a hologram image is fixed and placed in an injection mold so as to be flat against the inner surface of the mold. It can be made by filling a mold with molten resin using an injection molding method, cooling it, and solidifying it.

A stamper plate on which a hologram image was formed was fixed and placed in a flat surface on the inner surface of the mold in an injection mold as a lid of a cosmetic container (compact). Using the injection mold, methacrylic resin was heated to a resin temperature of 235°.
Injection molding at C (cylinder 1 temperature, front 230℃, middle 2
20°C, rear part 210'C, mold temperature 55°C), and aluminum was partially vacuum-deposited to a thickness of 500 mm on the hologram forming surface of the injection molded product, which had unevenness in the hologram image obtained. Next, 1 portion of titanium oxide is applied onto the aluminum vapor-deposited layer so as to cover the entire surface of the hologram image.
Vacuum deposition was carried out to a film thickness of 0.000 mm.
