Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently use a copy discharge paper tray by using it as the upper cover when it is not used for copying, and setting it to a position where it does not obstruct to take out an original when it is used. CONSTITUTION:At the time of non-use, a copy discharge paper tray 12 and a copy discharge paper tray supporting leg 15 become a plane and cover an original discharge paper tray 7 and become a part of the facing. Also, at the time of using a copying machine, the tray 12 is raised by a handle 14. This tray 12 is attached pivotally so as to be rotatable to the body by a fulcrum 13, and the leg 15 is attached pivotally so as to be rotatable by a fulcrum 17 to the tray 12, slides in the direction for going to a copy discharge part 11 on a guide 18 of both side faces of the tip of the leg 15 by raising the tray 12, and is fixed to a depression of a lock part 19 provided on the guide 18 by a dead weight of the leg 15. Due to a fact that this leg 15 is fixed, the tray 12 maintains a slant face, and works as a copy discharge paper tray.

2. Description of the Related Art In most conventional copying machines, a paper feed cassette is provided on the side of the machine body, and copied paper is ejected from the opposite side. For this reason, an extra copy space equal to the size of the copy output tray provided on the side of the machine is required. In order to solve this problem, a copy paper ejecting mechanism was installed on the top of the copying machine.
This method has been proposed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 176759 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 60-6161.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention when a copying machine is used. The original inserted from the original insertion section +11 is fed into the machine by the original transport roller (2), and then transferred to the reading section (20).
After passing through the document, it is reversed by the U-turn guide (3), sent by the document transport roller (4), and then returned to the U-turn guide (5).
The document is reversed and ejected from the document ejection section (6) onto the document ejection tray (forced).Furthermore, an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the image of the document obtained from the reading section (20) is transferred to the photoreceptor (21). ), and after being developed by a developing device (not shown), the fed transfer paper goes through the steps of transfer, separation, and fixing.
The conveyance rollers (9) discharge the two sheets from the discharge section (11) onto the copy paper discharge tray (12). In this embodiment, the document ejection section (6) is provided on the opposite side from the copy ejection section (11), but the configuration is not limited to this. Furthermore, although roll paper (8) is used in this embodiment, the structure is not limited to this, and a mechanism for feeding cut paper may be provided. Note that A indicates a document passing path, and B indicates a copy paper passing path.

When the copying machine shown in Figure 2 is not in use, the copy output tray (
12) The copy output tray support legs (15) (hereinafter referred to as support legs) are flat and cover the original output tray (covering the force and become part of the exterior. When using the copying machine (Fig. 1) To do this, lift up the copy output tray (12) using the handle (14).The copy output tray (12) is rotatably attached to the main body of the copying machine at a fulcrum (13).On the other hand, Support leg (1
