Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain uniform application of an image forming solvent such as water to a necessary part by bending a photosensitive material or an image receiving material by a press roller to be moved in a direction abutting upon an endless belt to contact the material with the endless belt and executing the application while carrying the material. CONSTITUTION:When arrival of the leading end part of an image exposed to the photosensitive material 16 at a water application part is sensed by a sensor 66, the press roller 62 is guided by a long hole 12A and moved in the endless belt 56 direction (arrow C direction) against energizing force to bend the material 16. The bent material 16 is by-passed from a normal carrying track and held between the press roller 62 and the belt 56 and the belt 56 starts to rotate by the driving force of a motor 64 simultaneously with the detection of the material 16 by the sensor 66. Consequently, water 68 can be infiltrated from a tank 72 into a water absorbing part 70 and applied to the exposure surface of the material 16.

[Prior Art and Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As an image recording device for obtaining a color image using a heat-developable photosensitive material, as shown in JP-A-59-75247, an image recording device that exposes an image to a heat-developable photosensitive material is used. There is a known method in which the image receiving paper is then sent to a heat developing section, and the image is transferred to the image receiving paper through a transfer process in which the image receiving paper is applied to the photosensitive material after heat development.

[Means and effects for solving the problems] The image recording apparatus according to the present invention transfers an image recorded on a heat-developable photosensitive material to the image-receiving material in the presence of an image-forming solvent. The image recording apparatus includes a tank for accumulating the solvent, and a part of the tank is immersed in the solvent and is driven to rotate in accordance with the movement of the photothermographic material or the image receiving material to transfer the solvent to the photothermographic material. An endless belt provided with a solvent application portion of uniform thickness on the circumferential surface for application to a material or an image-receiving material, and a pressing roller provided opposite to the endless belt and movable in a direction in which it comes into contact with the endless belt. It is characterized in that the photosensitive material or image-receiving material being transported is bent by the pressure roller and brought into contact with the endless belt, thereby applying an image forming solvent.

Solvent coating can be completed by releasing the pressure on the photosensitive material or image-receiving material by the pressure roller and separating the photosensitive material or image-receiving material from the endless belt, so there is no need to apply the solvent to unnecessary areas, and the photosensitive material Or, if the image-receiving material is conveyed one image at a time (for one sheet), that is, intermittently, the solvent will not adhere to the pressure roller.
Note that while the coating is being performed, it is necessary to keep at least a portion of the solvent coating portion provided on the endless belt always immersed in the solvent in the tank.

When the sensor 66 detects that the leading edge of the image exposed on the photosensitive material 16 has reached the water coating, the pressure roller 6
2 is guided through the elongated hole 12A, and the endless belt 5 resists the urging force.
The photosensitive material 16 is moved in six directions (in the direction of arrow C in FIG. 1) to bend the photosensitive material 16 (see the imaginary line in FIG. 1). It is held between the belt 56 and the belt 56. The endless belt 56 is activated by the motor 6 at the same time as the sensor 66 detects the photosensitive material 16.
The rotation is started by the driving force of 4, thereby making it possible to suck water 68 from the tank 72 into the water-absorbing portion 70 and to bring out the water 68 and apply it to the exposed surface of the photosensitive material 16.

(1) In an image recording apparatus that obtains an image on an image-receiving material by transferring an image recorded on a photothermographic material to the image-receiving material in the presence of an image-forming solvent, there is provided a tank for accumulating the solvent; A part of the solvent is immersed in a solvent, and the solvent is driven to rotate according to the movement of the heat-developable photosensitive material or the image-receiving material to apply the solvent to the circumferential surface of the photothermographic material or the image-receiving material in an even thickness. and a pressing roller provided opposite to the endless belt and movable in a direction in which it comes into contact with the endless belt, the photosensitive material or image-receiving material being transferred is bent by the pressing roller. An image recording apparatus characterized in that an image forming solvent is applied by bringing an endless belt into contact with the belt.
