Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform efficient replacement of belt by installing a roller on the extension of a belt path and another roller rotatable in the belt pull-in and drawout directions, wherein the two rollers are situated one over the other, and by turning the belt direction using the two rollers. CONSTITUTION:A new belt 1 placed behind a belt conveyor 4 stretching perpendicularly thereto is turned via rollers 2, 3 to be connected with the old belt 5 at a splicing part 6. This old belt 5 is puled to outside the conveyor 4 and the new one 1 drawn in by a belt drive pulley 8 running at a low speed which suits belt replacement operation. The old belt pulled out is wound by a belt winder. After completion of drawn of the new belt 1, the two belts 1, 5 are served at the splicing part 6, where the two ends of the new belt 1 are spliced.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a method for replacing a belt on a belt conveyor, and more specifically, an innovation for a belt conveyor that pulls in a new belt and pulls out an old belt, or both, from a direction intersecting the front-rear direction of the belt conveyor. This relates to a method of exchanging 1 tote.

When replacing the belt of a conventional belt conveyor, depending on the installation conditions of the main body of the belt conveyor, one or both of the steps of pulling in the new belt, pulling out the old belt, and pulling out the old belt in a direction along the front and back direction of the belt conveyor. It may not be possible to do so. In this case, it is necessary to pull in the new belt and pull out the old belt, or both, from a direction that intersects the front and back direction of the belt conveyor, and a method using rollers to change the direction of the belt has been implemented. There is. One conventional example will be explained with reference to FIG.

The new belt 1 passes between the front guide roller pair 11, is raised vertically by the direction change roller 12 which is rotatable around a vertical axis, and returns to the horizontal position after changing its direction. 13 and is drawn into the belt conveyor 4.

According to the method shown in FIG. 4, if sufficient tension is not applied to the front and rear portions of the direction change roller 42, the belt may deviate from the position of the direction change roller 12 due to gravity and hang down, and get caught in the lower part of the direction change roller 12. Scraping the area around the belt (bell) with a floor surface may cause damage to the belt, and the change of direction may not be carried out smoothly, which may impede belt replacement work. For this reason, it is necessary to take measures such as installing a device that applies appropriate tension to the belt, placing guide rollers in various places, and even supporting the belt manually, but all of these methods are difficult, and the equipment The processing costs and labor costs involved are enormous, and there are safety issues as well.

In FIG. 1, the new belt 1, which is arranged in a direction intersecting the front-rear direction of the belt conveyor 4, passes under the roller 2 rotatably provided in the direction in which the new belt 1 is drawn, faces upward, and the roller 2 The direction is changed by passing over the roller 3 disposed on the upper part of the belt conveyor 4 and rotatable in the front-back direction of the belt conveyor 4. The vertical positional relationship is not limited to that shown in the drawings, and the vertical positional relationship may be reversed. The guide rollers 7 assist the movement of the belt and are appropriately installed as necessary.

Furthermore, the rollers 2 and 3 can be installed arbitrarily before, before, or between the belt conveyor 4, and the angle at which the rotation axis of the roller 2 and the rotation axis of the roller 3 intersect can also be selected arbitrarily. Since the intersecting angle between the front and back direction of belt 4 and the retraction direction of new belt 1 and/or the retraction direction of old belt 5 can be set freely, the belt replacement work can be performed at any time depending on the installation status of belt conveyor 4. It can be carried out from any location.

The new belt 1 placed on the side substantially perpendicular to the front-rear direction of the belt conveyor 4 at the tail portion of the belt conveyor 4 is changed direction via rollers 2 and 3, and is connected to one end of the old belt 5 of the belt conveyor 4 and the new belt. Connect at the belt connection part 6. The guide roller 7 is for assisting the movement of the new belt 1. The driving force of the belt drive pulley 8, whose speed has been lowered in advance to a speed suitable for belt replacement work, pulls the old belt 5 out of the belt conveyor 4 and draws in the new belt 1. The pulled out old belt 5 is wound up by a belt winding machine 10. Note that the belt tension applying device 9 applies the slack side tension necessary for driving the belt by the belt drive pulley 8.

The new belt 1 placed on the side that is substantially orthogonal to the front-rear direction of the belt conveyor 4 is changed direction through rollers 2 and 3 arranged in the middle of the belt conveyor 4, and is transferred to one end of the old belt 5 of the belt conveyor 4. and the old and new belt connection part 6. The guide rollers 7 are appropriately provided to assist the new belt 1 and the old belt 5 to move forward, and to cause the belts to go around the rollers 2 and 3. The old belt 5 is pulled out and the new belt 1 is pulled in by the driving force of the belt drive pulley 8 whose speed has been lowered in advance to a speed suitable for belt replacement work. The belt tensioning device 9 applies the tension on the slack side necessary for driving the belt by the belt drive pulley 8, and the old belt 5, after being changed direction by the rollers 3' and 2', is placed on the side almost perpendicular to the front-rear direction of the belt conveyor 4. The belt is wound up with a belt winding machine 10 placed on the side. The rollers 3 and 3' are located above the belt run of the belt conveyor 4, and the rollers 2 and 3 and the rollers 2' and 3' are respectively arranged one above the other. After completing the retraction of the new belt 1, cut the belt at the new and old belt connection part 1, connect both ends of the new belt 1, and return the drive speed of the belt drive pulley 8 to the normal speed V, and then set the rollers 2 and 3 back to the normal speed. ,
Replacement work for R belts such as the guide roller 7.Remove the used equipment and complete the belt replacement work.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above, the belt conveyor belt replacement according to the present invention can safely and reliably change the direction of the belt, there is no risk of belt damage, and the belt can be changed continuously without the need for skilled personnel. And work can be done stably. As a result, more efficient and economical belt replacement work is possible. In addition, even in cases where the work area for belt replacement is limited due to the installation conditions of the belt conveyor, etc., and therefore conventionally inefficient methods had to be used, the present invention makes it possible to perform belt replacement work safely and reliably. Its industrial value is great.
