Abstract

PURPOSE:To mold a resin sheet by a molding machine by surely stretching said sheet to a horizontal state in a heated and softened state, by forcibly expanding the interval of a pair of two endless roller chains corresponding to the molding position thereof and tensioning the resin sheet at the expanded part. CONSTITUTION:A resin sheet S is clamped at both sides thereof by clamp pawls 11, 11' at the lower parts in the vicinity of the start ends of endless roller chains 10, 10' and intermittently moved by the rotation of drive rotary shafts 8, 8' to reach a heating position and further moved while softened under heating to reach the part above a molding machine 1 and stopped. Next, cylinders 14 ... are operated so as to be extended and the roller chains between chain wheels 6, 6 ' and a bifurcated link apparatus are loosened. Subsequently, cylinders 15... are operated so as to be contracted and the interval between the roller chains engaged with tensioning pawls 20... is widened to tension the resin sheet held by the clamp pawls. Next, vacuum sucking action is applied to the molding machine and the resin sheet is brought into close contact with the molding surface of the molding machine under suction to be molded into a desired shape.

(Prior art) Generally, when molding a resin product by suctioning and adhering a heat-softened thin resin sheet to the model surface of a molding machine, the resin sheet carried into the upper position of the molding machine is drawn down by heat. Therefore, if the molding machine was raised to perform molding, there was a problem in that the molded product would have burrs, burrs, and wrinkles. Conventionally, the lower mold of the molding machine is placed in a box with the top open, and compressed air is supplied into the box.The compressed air pushes up the drawn-down resin sheet and holds it in a horizontal state while molding the lower mold. However, equipment that unrolls and continuously molds a rolled up soft resin sheet does not function well and cannot completely prevent bridges and wrinkles from forming in the molded product. The problem was that it could not be prevented. Furthermore, there was a problem in yield from the viewpoint of effectively using the resin sheet.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention grips a resin sheet between a pair of endless roller chains each having a large number of clamp claws attached to the inside thereof through the clamp claws, and also grips the resin sheet by intermittent movement of the endless roller chain. After the resin sheet is sequentially moved to the heating position and the molding position, the interval between the roller chains corresponding to the molding position in the pair of endless roller chains is forcibly expanded to tension the resin sheet in this area, thereby molding. The resin sheet moved to the molding position is stretched horizontally, and then the molding machine disposed at the molding position is operated to suction and bring the resin sheet into close contact with the model surface of the molding machine. Because of this, the resin sheet in a heat-softened state can be reliably stretched horizontally and molded using a molding machine, which has excellent effects such as no bridges or wrinkles in the molded product and a high yield.
