Abstract

PURPOSE:To satisfy various requirements in controlling the temperature of the mold of a molder by a method wherein the proportional period of the output of a temperature controller is controlled by a timer. CONSTITUTION:Two timers, which are set longer than proportional period 5, are provided. If the ON time of the output 4 of a temperature controller exceeds a set time after the stand-by time 6 for the starting of a molder has elapsed, abnormal overheating 7 due to the falling-down of a sensor or the like is meant. On the other hand, if the OFF time of the output 4 of the temperature controller exceeds the set time, abnormal low temperature 8 due to the disconnection of a heater is detected, that is, the detection of the deviation from a proportional zone 3 can be possible.

FIGS. 1 and 2 are a proportional operation state diagram of a temperature controller and a temperature change diagram of a heater, respectively, which are generally used, with the vertical axis representing temperature and the horizontal axis representing time. Figure 1 shows that when temperature change 2 is in proportional band 3 with respect to set value 1, control output 4 is turned on or off depending on the difference between that change and the set value.
) shows a state in which time-division proportioning is performed around proportional period 6. Moreover, the state of temperature change at that time is shown in FIG.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention Temperature control that relies solely on proportional action can occur when a temperature sensor such as a thermocouple or resistance temperature detector comes off the mold, or when the mold heater is disconnected. To protect against this, attempts have been made to use a separate temperature control system to prevent abnormal overheating due to the sensor falling off, and to install heater disconnection alarms to prevent trouble.

It has two timers set to a proportional cycle of 6 or more, and after the molding machine startup standby time of 6 has elapsed, the temperature controller output 4 is set to O.
If N time exceeds the set time, it means abnormal overheating 7 due to sensor falling off, etc., and on the other hand, temperature controller output 4 is turned OFF.
If the time exceeds the set time, it becomes possible to detect an abnormal low temperature 8 due to heater disconnection or the like, that is, to detect a deviation from the proportional band 3.
