(Prior Art) In the sewing method of the interlock stitch sewing machine as described above, a suture line is formed by a plurality of needles that move up and down through the needle sections on both sides of the throat plate pawl that protrudes in the cloth feeding direction. At the same time, by passing the upper decorative thread between each of the suture lines on the surface of the fabric, and by interposing the lower decorative thread between each of the suture lines on the back surface of the fabric, with the throat plate claw interposed between the suture lines,
It is used to stitch interlock stitches on cloth. By the way, in this sewing method using an interlock stitch sewing machine, when the sewing direction of the stitches changes, it is necessary to stop the sewing machine and change the direction of the fabric, but as mentioned above, on the back side of the fabric, , the needle plate claw is interposed between the fabric and the bottom thread. For this reason, in the past, when changing the direction of the fabric as described above, the end of the seam of the fabric was first sewn with a sewing machine. The fabric is removed from the throat plate pawl by eight shifts in the fabric feeding direction, and then the stitch end is positioned at the needle drop again to perform sewing in a direction different from that before the direction change.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) However, as mentioned above, when the fabric is moved in the fabric feeding direction of the sewing machine, the thread is pulled out from the needle, looper, etc. at the same time as this movement, so the end of the stitch is again removed from the needle drop. When the needle is placed in the needle drop section, a loose thread will occur between the needle or looper and the needle drop section. For this reason, in conventional methods, when the direction of seam movement changes, the aforementioned loose threads harden at the direction change section or protrude from the seam, resulting in poor appearance and reduced product value. There was a problem with putting it away. Further, the work itself of pulling the fabric out of the throat plate claw and putting it back in was extremely troublesome.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the method for manufacturing the interlock stitch sewing machine according to the present invention temporarily stops the sewing operation of the sewing machine when the direction of stitch progress changes, and Retracting the throat plate claw protruding from the fabric in the opposite direction to the cloth feeding direction and pulling it out from between the fabric and the base thread, changing the orientation of the fabric, and then returning the throat plate claw to its original position; This is characterized in that the sewing operation is then started again.

The drive mechanism 2 fixes the middle part of the drive lever 7 to the rotating shaft 6 of the rotary solenoid 5, and connects the rear end of the throat plate pawl l to a cylindrical pin 7a provided on the upper side of the drive lever 7. A notch 1aa formed in the portion 1a is fitted and connected. Further, a coil spring 8 is wound around the rotation shaft 6, and the coil spring 8 causes the drive lever 7 to move in a direction that substantially coincides with the cloth feeding direction A of the sewing machine, that is, in FIG. 2A. It is biased in the counterclockwise direction C. Therefore, at all times, the throat plate pawl l connected to the drive lever 7 is biased toward the cloth feeding direction A, and its tip 1a protrudes into the needle drop hole 4a. 9a is a stopper made of a bolt, and this stopper 98
is in contact with the drive lever 7 which is biased by the coil spring 8 above the fixed part of the rotating shaft 6, and is rotated to advance and retreat, thereby controlling the amount by which the throat plate pawl 1 enters the needle drop hole 4a. It regulates the On the other hand, the rotary solenoid 5 is driven to move the upper part of the drive lever 7 in a direction that resists the biasing force of the coil spring 8 (clockwise direction D shown in FIG. 2A).
As shown in FIG. 2B, the throat plate claw 1 retreats in the direction opposite to the cloth feeding direction (in the direction of arrow B in the figure), and the tip 1b of the throat plate claw 1 reaches the needle drop Nl. , and will be located behind N2. Reference numeral 9b denotes a stopper for regulating this backward movement, which contacts the drive lever 7 below the fixed part of the rotary shaft 6, and is made of a bolt like the stopper 98, and is rotated to move forward and backward to close the throat plate. Adjust the amount of retraction of claw 1. Reference numeral 10 denotes a fixing lever, which is fixed to the tip of a screw 11, and by rotating the screw 11, the tip 1b is inserted into the needle hole 4a. Engages with a certain throat plate pawl l,
This prevents the throat plate pawl l from moving even if the rotary solenoid 5 is driven. In addition, 12 is a fitting for attaching the rotary solenoid 5, etc., and bolts 13
It is fixed to bed 3 by.

Next, when the first sewing part S reaches the terminal end E, the needle comes out of the fabric, the sewing machine is stopped, and the throat plate claw l is moved in the fabric feeding direction as shown in FIG. 3B. and retreat in the opposite direction B. In this way, when the throat plate pawl l is retreated in the opposite direction, both the upper decorative thread F and the lower decorative thread F2 are sewn onto the fabric X until the end @E, as shown in FIG. 2B. be done. The timing for retracting the throat plate pawl l in the opposite direction B can be determined, for example, by interlocking the drive of the throat rotary solenoid 5 when the presser plate (not shown) attached to the tip of the presser bar 27 is raised. You can also
Alternatively, the number of stitches in the sewing section before the terminal end E, such as the first sewing section S1, may be counted, and when the number of stitches reaches a predetermined value, the rotary solenoid 5 may be driven. It is sufficient if the throat plate claw l is moved back in the opposite direction B at the same time as or after the driving of the sewing machine is stopped when the first sewing part S has been sewn to the terminal end E.

Next, as shown in Figure 3C, change the direction of the fabric
The stitch progressing direction of the second sewing section S2 shown in Fig. E is aligned with the cloth feeding direction. At this time, since the tip 1b of the throat plate pawl 1 is retracted to the rear of the needle drop portions N, , N, the fabric
can change its direction by rotating it around the terminal end E, and when changing its direction in this way,
The thread will not be pulled out from the needles 22, 23, spreader 24, etc. In addition, when the cloth X is rotated about the terminal end E, the rotation center at the terminal end E can be given to the cloth by a positioning means that advances and retreats in relation to the movement of the throat plate claw 1. This positioning means is constituted by, for example, a cloth pressing member attached to the tip of a rod of an air cylinder fixed to the sewing machine.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, according to the sewing method of the interlock stitch sewing machine according to the present invention, the direction of the fabric can be changed without almost moving the position of the seam end, and the direction of the fabric can be changed. Since the thread does not pull out when changing the direction, when sewing parts with different stitch progressing directions are formed consecutively at the end of the stitch, there is no possibility of thread clumps or stitches at the changing part of the stitch progressing direction. The value of the product can be improved because no threads stick out.Furthermore, it is no longer necessary to separate the fabric from the throat plate pawl every time the direction of stitch progress is changed, which improves work efficiency.
