(Prior art) In this type of sewing machine, the needle passage hole in the presser foot of the cloth presser foot is formed in a shape surrounded on all four sides, so that no matter which direction the cloth moves during sewing, the upper thread will pass through the needle. It is designed to prevent it from coming out of the hole (see, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 1986-862). With such a configuration, when passing the needle thread through the needle hole of the needle and starting sewing, the needle thread passed through the needle hole must also be passed through the small needle hole in the presser foot. The problem is that the work is cumbersome. If you do not pass the upper thread through the needle hole, the upper thread will be stuck to the fabric at the first stitch when sewing starts, and then the tip of the upper thread will be lifted by the rise of the presser foot, and then it will be stuck again. As the presser foot descends, the tip of the needle thread between the fabric and the presser foot becomes slack, and then the lowered needle sews it onto the fabric, resulting in an extremely poor appearance at the beginning of the sewing. The problem arises that it gets lost and it becomes difficult to repair it. Also, if you keep the needle thread short to prevent it from slacking,
A problem arises in that the upper thread falls out of the needle hole at the start of sewing, making it impossible to sew.

(Example) Below, drawings showing examples of the present application will be described. In Figures 1 and 2, reference numeral 1
~22 is a well-known multi-spindle sewing machine (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No.
22255 (similar to that shown in Publication No. 22255), 1 is a bed, the upper surface of which is a cloth sliding surface 1a. Reference numeral 2 indicates a throat plate, 2a a needle hole for inserting a needle, 3 a shaft for driving a hook, and 4 a hook. Also, 7 is an arm disposed above the bed 1, 8 is a drive shaft, 9 is an operating rod that can move up and down with respect to the arm 7, 10 is a crank mechanism, 11 is a needle bar presser, and 12 is horizontal to the arm 7. The holder 13 is rotatably mounted, the needle bar 13 is movable up and down with respect to the holder 12, and the needle 14 has a needle hole 14a through which the upper thread 23 is passed. Reference numeral 15 denotes a presser foot that is movable up and down relative to the needle bar 13. The presser foot 15 is made up of an elevating frame 16 that is attached to the needle bar 13 so as to be movable up and down, a support piece 17, and a presser foot 18. The presser foot 18 has a needle that moves vertically. 1
A needle passage hole 19 is bored through which the needle 4 passes.
The needle passage hole 19 is surrounded on all four sides to prevent the needle thread from coming out of the hole. 20 is the first spring;
21 represents a second spring stronger than the first spring 20, and 22 represents a balance. As is well known, needle threads 23 of different colors are used for the plurality of needles 14, 14, . . . . Next, reference numeral 25 indicates an embroidery frame, on which a cloth 26 to be embroidered is stretched, and connected to a well-known drive frame (not shown) to be moved back and forth and left and right along the cloth sliding surface 1a. It's becoming like that.

In the multi-shaft sewing machine configured as described above, the shafts 3 and 8 rotate in synchronization by operating a drive device (main motor) not shown. Rotation of the shaft 3 causes the hook 4 to rotate, rotation of the shaft 8 causes the operating rod 9 to move up and down via the crank mechanism 10, and the balance 22 moves up and down (during two rotations of the hook 4). Operating rod 9 and balance 2
2 moves up and down once). Further, the holder 12 is rotated by a drive device different from the above, and a large number of needle bars 1 are rotated.
3 is selectively positioned below the needle bar presser 11. As a result, the needle bar 13 is moved up and down by the needle bar presser 11, which moves up and down together with the operating rod 9. Also, as the needle bar 13 moves up and down,
A presser foot 15, which is interlocked with this via springs 20 and 21, moves up and down synchronously with the needle bar 13. As a result, the presser foot 18 of the presser foot 15 presses the cloth 26, and the needle 14 attached to the needle bar 13 and the hook 4 press the needle thread 23 and the bobbin thread from the hook 4 against the cloth 26. Lockstitch sewing is performed. Also, during this process, the embroidery frame 25 is driven forward, backward, left and right, and as a result, a predetermined pattern is sewn onto the cloth 26.

To further explain the operation of the presser foot 15 and the needle 14, as the needle bar 13 descends, the presser foot 15
lowers integrally (spring 20 is compressed), and presser part 1
8 presses the cloth 26. Next, in this state, only the needle bar 13 is lowered (the spring 21 is compressed), and the needle 14 is moved to the cloth 26.
It stings. Next, after the thread is entangled vertically due to the rotation of the hook 4, the needle bar 13 is raised while the presser portion 18 presses the cloth 26, and the needle 14 is removed from the cloth 26. Next, the presser foot 15 rises together with the needle bar 13. Sewing is performed by repeating this process.

Next, a description will be given with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5, which show the related structure of the needle 14 and the presser foot 15 in detail. The needle hole 14a of the needle 14 is penetrated toward the support piece 17 of the presser foot 15, as shown in FIG. On the other hand, in the presser foot 15, reference numeral 28 denotes a thread passage hole, which is opened in the support piece 17 on the surface facing the needle 14. The vertical position of the thread passing hole 28 is determined on the traveling locus of the needle thread inserted into the needle hole 14a, as clearly shown in FIG. Reference numeral 29 indicates a communication groove that allows the needle passage hole 19 and thread passage hole 28 to communicate with each other. Above needle hole 1
9, presser foot 1 at thread passage hole 28 and communication groove 29
The periphery of the opening on the surface of the thread 5 and the boundary between the communication groove 29 and the needle passage hole 19 and the thread passage hole 28 are designed to have good sliding against the thread 23 and to prevent the upper thread 23 from being accidentally cut. , formed into a smooth curved surface.

Next, in the above structure, when starting sewing as described above, the upper thread 23 is inserted into the needle hole 14 of the needle 14.
The work of inserting it through a is done as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the tip 23a of the upper thread 23 is inserted into the needle hole 14a. Then, the tip 23a
As shown by the imaginary line, the thread passes through the thread passing hole 28 almost simultaneously. Therefore, all that is left is the tip 23
If a is moved downward as shown by the arrow, upper thread 2
3 passes through the communication groove 29 to the needle through hole 19 as shown in FIG.
It will be in a state where it is inserted. In FIG. 3, if the tip 23a of the needle thread 23 is pulled out to a length of about 60 mm below the presser foot 18, the needle thread 23 may fall out of the needle hole 14a at the start of sewing. This is preferable because it can prevent this.

If you start sewing in the above condition, the needle thread 23
After the tip 23a is fixed to the cloth 26 at the start of sewing (generally at the first stitch), the tip 23a is attached to the presser foot 1.
Even if 8 rises, it will not rise with it. Therefore, a conventional accident occurs, that is, after the upper thread has already been attached to the fabric, the tip of the upper thread is lifted by the lifting of the presser foot, and then the presser foot is lowered again, causing the cloth and the presser foot to be separated. This prevents an accident in which the top end of the needle thread between the needle thread section becomes slack and is subsequently sewn onto the cloth by the descending needle, and the sewing starting section is left in a very clean state.

Next, FIG. 6 showing a different embodiment of the present application will be described. In this example, the needle hole 14ae and the thread passage hole 28e are
This example shows an example in which the positional relationship with the needle hole 28e is different from that of the previous embodiment, and the thread passing hole 28e is provided at a position below the needle hole 14ae on the traveling trajectory of the needle thread inserted into the needle hole 14ae. It shows. In this example as well, since the thread passing hole 28e is located on the traveling locus of the upper thread, even in one insertion step of passing the upper thread through the needle hole 14ae, the upper thread can be passed through the thread passing hole 28e.
It also goes through.

(Effect of the invention) As described above, in the present invention, the upper thread 23 is passed through the needle hole 14a, and the rear needle 14
When starting sewing by moving the presser foot 15 up and down, the needle thread 23 that has passed through the needle hole 14a is passed through the needle hole 19 of the presser foot 15 located below with sufficient length. By doing so, it goes without saying that sewing can be started without the thread coming out from the needle hole 14a and in a neat sewing state. When the needle thread 23 is passed through the needle hole 14a, the needle thread 23 can also be passed through the thread passing hole 28 of the presser foot almost simultaneously, and the needle thread 23 can be passed through the thread passing hole 28 of the presser foot.
It has the advantage that the needle thread 23 can be guided into the needle hole 19 by simply moving the tip of the thread downward. This means that the needle thread 23 can be threaded through the needle hole 14a only once, and the needle thread 23 can substantially pass through the needle hole 19 as well, thereby achieving the beautiful sewing condition described above. This has the effect of making it easier to thread the needle thread through the needle thread.
