Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a drain path from being dammed, by forming a drain passage between a center pillar part car body panel and a finisher while elastically connecting a body side weather strip rear flange to a hatch roof and the finisher. CONSTITUTION:A closed sectional shaped-drain passage 2 is formed between a car body panel 31, constituting a center pillar of a hatch roof vehicle (T bar roof vehicle or the like), and a finisher. Providing a body side weather strip 22 to be arranged riding astride from a roof to the center pillar, a flange part 30, which is integrally provided extending from a roof side part of the body side weather strip 22 to the rear, is elastically connected with a mold 24 of a hatch roof 20 and the finisher 33. The necessity for a drain hose and its arrangement work, required in the past, is eliminated, and water, inducted to a drain path 2, is prevented from being dammed in a drain part, being promptly and smoothly drained in the drain part between the finisher 33 and the center pillar part car body panel 31.

In conventional hatch roof vehicles, for example, as shown in FIGS. 9 to 12, a waterway 2 having a channel-shaped cross section is formed at the periphery of a hatch roof opening l to capture rainwater and the like. As a drainage treatment for the water trapped in the water channel 2, a dam part 6 is formed on the roof side part of the body side weather strip 5 which is disposed across the center pillar 4 from the roof 3 side. Waterway 2 due to dam part 6
The water inside is dammed, and the water is discharged to the outside from the drainage vibrator 7, for example, via a hose (not shown).
For example, Sho 59-8820). 8 is the hatch roof, and 9 is the door glass.

Specifically, as shown in the examples, the structure is such that the water captured in the water channel around the periphery of the roof opening is drained from the roof side part along the center pillar. A flange extends rearward from the roof side of the body side weather strip that forms a closed cross-sectional drainage passage between the constituent single panel and the finisher, and extends from the roof to the center pillar. The flange portion is brought into elastic contact with the hatch roof and the finisher f, and the flange portion guides water from the waterway side to the drainage passage side.

Terminal section 2 at the rear end of the roof side weather strip 23
5 has a wedge-shaped cross section as shown in Figure WJ4, and on the other hand, a substantially V-shaped stepped portion 26 is formed on the roof side portion of the body side weather strip 22 corresponding to the terminal portion 25. ing. A drain hole 28 which is continuous with the hollow part 27 of the body side weather strip 22 is formed at the bottom of the stepped part 26, and a bead part 29 is formed (see FIG. 5).

Further, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a tongue-shaped flange portion 30 extending rearward is integrally formed on the roof side portion of the body side weather strip 22. As shown in the figure, the vehicle body panel 31
ff is in elastic contact and covers the open end 2a of the water channel 2. When the roof 720 is installed, the end of the molding 24 on the side of the roof 20 will elastically follow the flange 30, as shown in FIG.

On the other hand, the center pillar 21ff is a body side wearer.
A finisher 33 is arranged along the strip 22, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 8! A drainage passage 34 having a closed cross section is formed between the body panel 31 and the finisher 33. The upper end portion of the finisher 33 is resiliently received by the flange portion 30, and the open end portion 2a of the water channel 2 and the drainage passage 34 are substantially connected.
