Abstract

PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform static elimination of a printing material and an ink and prevent feathering from being generated at the time of printing, by providing a static eliminator in the vicinity of a releasing point of an impression cylinder and the printing material and on the printing surface side of the printing material, in printing on a paper, a film or the like by a gravure rotary press. CONSTITUTION:A static eliminator is provided in the vicinity of an impression cylinder 1 and a printing material and on the printing surface side of the printing material, whereby the printing material and an ink 4 can be simultaneously subjected to static elimination, and a favorable printed matter free of feathering can be obtained. The position of the static eliminator is preferably set within a distance of 3 cm from the printing material and within a distance of 5 cm from the releasing point in the moving direction of the printing material. The static eliminator may be any of braid- shaped ones, brush-shaped ones, fabric-shaped ones and the like which are commercially available. From the viewpoint of workability in consideration of the fact that the static eliminator is disposed on the printing surface side of the printing material, the static eliminator is preferably a chord-shaped one having a specific resistance of not more than 1 omega.cm, with fluff on the surface thereof and a diameter of not more than 5 mm.

Ink splatters called splatters can occur, which can detract from the aesthetic appearance of printed matter and become a problem. As a countermeasure to this problem, many methods have been tried to eliminate static electricity from the printing material, such as removing static electricity from the printing material before printing, removing static electricity from the surface of the printing material immediately after printing, or using conductive rubber for the impression roll.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve these problems, the inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive research and found that by installing a static eliminator on the printing surface side and removing static electricity from the printing material and the ink at the same time. The inventors have discovered that it is possible to prevent the formation of facial hair and have arrived at the present invention.

That is, the present invention is characterized in that when printing a piece of paper, film, etc. with a rotogravure printing press, a static eliminator is installed near the separation point between the impression roll and the printing material and on the printing surface side of the printing material. The gist is the printing method.

By providing the static eliminator near the separation point between the impression roll and the printing material and on the printing surface side, it is possible to eliminate static electricity from the printing material and the ink at the same time, and it is possible to obtain good printed matter without the occurrence of whiskers. In particular, it is preferable that the static eliminator be installed at a position within 3 cm from the printing material and within 5 cm from the peeling point in the printing material traveling direction. As static eliminators, there are commercially available mall-shaped ones, brush-shaped ones,
Any material, such as a cloth-like material, may be used, but considering workability since it is on the printing side, It is preferable to use a string-like material.

(Function) In the present invention, by installing a static eliminator near the separation point between the impression roll and the printing material and on the printing surface side of the printing material, the ink immediately after printing on the printing material and the printing material can be simultaneously removed. Since static electricity can be removed, facial hair can be easily prevented.

There are two reasons for this, according to research by the present inventors: After the ink is transferred to the printing substrate, the ink and the printing substrate are charged at the point where the impression roll and the printing substrate separate, and the ink and the printing substrate are charged in the vicinity of the separation point. It is possible that beards may occur. Through further research, we found that the installation location of the static eliminator has little effect on hairs before the separation point between the impression roll and the printed material, and that the effect on hair removal decreases even if it is far away from the separation point between the impression roll and the printed material. It has been found that the effect on whiskers is greater when the distance from the peeling point is within 5 cm in the direction of travel of the printed material.

Furthermore, although it is desirable that the distance between the static eliminator and the printing material be as short as possible, there is a risk that the static eliminator and the printing material may be stained with ink. According to the research of the present inventors.

Although any static eliminator may be used, it is preferable to use a string-like material having an electrical resistance of 1 Ω·clI+ or less and having a diameter of 51III+ or less and having many fluffs on its surface. When the specific electrical resistance exceeds 1 Ω·cIll, the static elimination performance decreases significantly. Individual electrical resistance is lΩ・C
II+ or less and having a large number of fuzz on one surface makes it easy to form an unequal electric field.

The self-discharge starting voltage is lowered, and the static elimination performance against the other party, that is, the printing material and the ink, is improved.

In addition, because of the need to reposition it at a specific position on the printing surface side, it is preferable to use a molded type, brush type, or cloth type.
It is preferable to use a string-like material with a diameter of mm or less because it is easier to load and remove, and the workability is better.
