Conventional Technology In recent years, as the demand for copying devices has increased, it has become possible to create multiple copies of copy sheets in the order of their pages without using a device called a sorter. There are conventional automatic document feeders and reversible automatic document feeders that invert a document and send it to a platen in order to copy both the front and back sides of the document. There are also devices that combine these functions and have both functions.

This is because in the case of a book document, the automatic document feeder is used open from the platen, and the copying operation section is disposed on the top surface. As mentioned above, in the circulation type, the document is placed on the top of the automatic document feeder, and the document is fed from the bottom of the document and ejected to the top of the original document, so the document feeder is connected to the document feeder. Each discharge section requires a curved passage,
As a result, the device was larger. Further, in combination with the reversing type, a reversing section is required to switch and reverse the front and rear ends of the document, which results in a large size and a high document placement surface as described above.

Increasing the size of the automatic document feeder itself is extremely inconvenient for use, especially for books that cannot use the document feeder or documents that are bound in multiple copies. Place the original, but
It is a pain for the operator to open and move large document feeders, and these copies are typically made frequently. In addition, a type that combines a circulation type and a reversal type employs a method of switching back the original, resulting in an extremely low copying speed. Furthermore, there were other drawbacks such as a complicated structure.

Next, the operation will be explained with reference to FIG. First, when copying one side of a document, place the document 2° on the paper feed tray 5 in page order with the side to be copied facing upward and the last page at the bottom, as shown in Figure 2-1. . When the start switch is pressed here, the bottom document 2o-1 is moved to the right by the feed roller 14, separated into only one sheet by the separation roller 6 and the feed roller rough, and further moved to the right by the feed roller 8. It enters between the conveyor belt 2 and the platen glass 10 and is moved onto the platen by the conveyor belt 2. The manuscript does not stop here, but moves further to the right as shown in Figure 2-
2, it passes along the outer periphery of the reversing drum 11 by the feed roller 1o and returns to the lower surface of the conveyor belt 2 by the feed row 210 under the guidance of the switching pawl 12 which is switched by a renoid (not shown). At this time, the original 20-1 is reversed, so the side to be copied is on the lower side, that is, on the platen glass 1 side, and the document 20-1 is placed at a predetermined position on the platen glass 1 as shown in Fig. 2-1.
It stops like this. Next, at this position, the original 2o-1 is exposed and copied. After that, the document 2°-1 is moved to the right by the conveyor belt 2, the feed row 1o, and the reversing drum 11, and is further reversed. At this time, the direction of the switching claw 12 is changed, and the conveyor belt 2. At this time, the lowermost document 2o-2 remaining on the paper feed tray 5 is moved by one sheet to the right by the feeders a-714, 7, 8 and the separation row 26, and reaches the platen glass 1.

Next, the case of copying both sides of the original 20 will be described. The original 20 is placed on the paper feed tray 6 so that the front side of the first page faces upward, the last page faces the bottom, and the back side faces downward. When the start switch is pressed here, the bottom document 20-1, which is the last page, is moved to the right by the feed roller 14, separated into only one sheet by the separation row 26 and the feed sheet a-27, and then the document 20-1, which is the last page, is moved to the right by the feed roller 14, and separated into only one sheet by the separation row 26 and the feed sheet a-27. 8, the platen glass 1 is moved further to the right by the conveyor belt 2 as shown in Fig. 2-1.
It moves to a predetermined position above and stops. Here, manuscript 2o-

Thereafter, the document 20-1 is moved to the right by the conveyor belt 2, further guided by the reversing drum 11 to the switching claw 12, and its leading end returns to the lower surface of the conveyor belt 2, as shown in FIG. 2-2. At this time, the conveyor belt 2 moves in the opposite direction to
As shown in Figure 1, it reaches a predetermined position on the platen glass 1 and stops. Here, since the original 20-1 is inverted, its front side faces the platen glass 1, and in this state it is exposed and copied. Thereafter, the original 2o-1 is moved to the right by the conveyor belt 2, the feed roller 210, and the reversing drum 11 and is further reversed. At this time, the direction of the switching claw 12 has changed and the second

-1 is the document 2 on the paper feed tray 6 by the paper ejection row 213.
At the same time, the original 2o- is returned to above 0 as shown in Figure 2-4.
2 is separated into one sheet by the separation row 26, the feed row 27.8, and the conveyor belt 2, and when it reaches a predetermined position on the platen glass 1, it is stopped and exposed. In this way, the original 2o is exposed and copied in order from the back side of the last page to the front side. Further, even after the front side of the first page has been copied, the original 2o is repeatedly circulated in the above order until the desired number of copies have been copied. Since the pages are sequentially fed from the last page to a predetermined position on the copying machine's platen, copied, and stacked in the same order on the paper feed tray, they can be fed repeatedly. A typical copying machine has a paper ejecting structure called face-up, in which the first copied copy sheet faces upward and the next copy sheet is placed on top of it, so when combined with the automatic document feeder of the present invention, the original Not only does the page order of the copy sheet match the page order of the copy sheet, but also the page order of the copied original, and since the device can be made thin, it is easy to operate when combined with a copying machine.
