【考案の詳細な説明】
<技術分野>
本考案は液晶表示装置の応用技術に関し、特に
携帯可能な懐中電灯に液晶表示装置を組み込んだ

<従来技術>
近年、液晶表示装置の利用分野は電卓、時計は

ば電子ゲーム、車載用表示パネル、計測機器等で

本考案は上記した如き従来の液晶表示装置の応

第1図は本考案の一実施例を示す液晶表示装置
付懐中電灯の内部構成図を示す。同図において1
は懐中電灯本体であり、2は電池、3は電池2に
よつて点灯される光源、4はレンズ、5は光源3
からの光を効率よく外部へ導出する反射鏡、6は

上記反射鏡5の一部には切り欠き部5′が形成
され、該切り欠き部5′の外側に時刻を表示する
液晶表示装置7が配設される。8は該液晶表示装

上記液晶表示装置7の詳細な構造は第2図に示
される通りである。第2図の液晶表示装置7にお
いて8,8′は基板であり、該基板8,8′内面に
電極9,9′及び配向膜10,10′が被覆され、
その内部に液晶11が封入される。12は液晶1
1を密封するシール材である。上記基板8,8′
の外面には偏光板13,13′が被覆されている。
14は透明ガラス板あるいは透明プラスチツク板
の片面に蒸着、スパツタ、メツキ等によつてハー
フミラー層が形成されたハーフミラー板である。
液晶表示装置7はこのハーフミラー板14を介し
て光源3の光を採取して表示を行なう。但し外光
が充分な時は、光源3の光が無くとも外光が上記
ハーフミラー板14にて反射するので表示可能で
ある。尚、第1図において15は液晶表示装置用
の駆動部であるが、この駆動部15の設置個所は

され、該液晶表示装置はその裏面に設けられたハ
ーフミラー板を介して光源の光を採取して表示を
行い、外光が充分な時は、光源の光が無くとも外
光が上記ハーフミラー板にて反射するので表示が
可能であるので、液晶表示装置の照明が不足する
といつた事態が生ずることがない有用な液晶表示
