Conventional technology The interior of conventional livestock barns is designed to maintain heat retention and insulation, as well as to absorb moisture from excrement and maintain an appropriate dry state.
Sawdust and lintel were laid on the floor as bedding material. When these bedding materials became contaminated with excrement and lost their effectiveness as bedding materials, they were discharged, fermented, and used as compost.

C. Problems to be solved by the invention Sawdust and 1aQ, which have been conventionally used as bedding materials, have poor water absorbency, become saturated with water in a short period of time, become muddy, emit a foul odor, and attract flies and insects. The litter had to be replaced frequently with new, dry litter. In addition, when composting it, the soiled bedding material must be transported to the compost house, a large amount of new sawdust, rice husks, etc. must be mixed in and stirred for aerobic fermentation, and the conditions must be adjusted to an appropriate level of moisture and ventilation. Must be.

Also, in this composting process! g [The sawdust and rice straw that were used as materials have no effect on promoting fermentation, and they contain large amounts of difficult-to-decompose substances such as cellulose and lignin, so they are completely fermented and ripened. By six months to one
It took a long period of time, such as 2000, and during that time, it produced a large number of flies and flies, as well as emitting a foul odor and deteriorating the surrounding environment.

2. Means for Solving the Problems In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks that occurred in conventional livestock barns and compost barns, the present invention provides a livestock barn that improves the environment of not only livestock barns but also compost barns through rational management of livestock barns. This is a management method that consists of uniformly spreading bedding made of porous powder of calcium silicate on the floor of the livestock barn to a thickness of several centimeters. The purpose of this method is to periodically repeat the process of removing the bedding material together with livestock excrement and replacing it with new bedding material after a predetermined period of time determined depending on the livestock being treated.

E. The porous calcium silicate powder spread on the floor of the livestock barn has high water absorption, so the porous powder absorbs moisture from the excrement and the interior of the livestock barn maintains an appropriate moisture content. It maintains this condition, suppresses bad odors, flies and insects, and has the effect of promoting fermentation. This improves the environment in livestock barns due to the heat-retaining effect of the bedding material, and at the same time has the effect of shortening the time required for composting.

EXAMPLES Next, the present invention will be described in detail. First, porous powder of calcium silicate, which will be used as a bedding material, is prepared by adding aluminum powder to a slurry whose main raw materials are silicic acid raw materials and calcareous raw materials. CS obtained by hydrothermal reaction treatment under high temperature and high pressure
H-gel and tobermorite are ground with a grinder, the particle size is adjusted, and this is spread uniformly on the floor of the livestock barn to a thickness of about 3 cm. The thickness of the bedding is adjusted depending on the livestock, 3 cm for fattening cows and 2 cm for milking cows and pigs.
cm, preferably 1.5 cm in the case of chicken, and the molar ratio of CaO/S i O- in this granular material is 0.5 to 1.5.
The temperature of the autoclave is 200°C or less.

The role of bedding material is to regulate moisture, promote fermentation, and retain heat, and these are influenced by the porosity. If the porosity is less than 50%, the insulation effect will be low, the amount of porosity will increase, and the progress of fermentation will be slow, and if the porosity is more than 80%, dust will fly up, making it unsuitable for use.

Therefore, it is preferable to adjust the porosity to 50% to 80%, and this porosity is determined by the moisture content of the aluminum powder and slurry. Also, if the particle size is 10 mm or more, there is a risk of damaging the nipples of dairy cows and the feet of piglets.
A particle size of around 1-2 mm is desirable.

If livestock are allowed to roam freely in a barn filled with bedding, they will defecate and urinate onto the shed, and the moisture will be absorbed by the bedding. Furthermore, the excrement is mixed with the bedding material by the livestock as it moves around inside the livestock, promoting fermentation and composting. In addition, in this fermentation process, we cannot overlook the fact that the temperature of the newly added raw feces also plays a role in promoting Pfj generation, and since only the excrement is fermented and decomposed, the rate of decomposition is fast. , a decomposition rate of 40% has already been achieved within 15 days of requiring bedding replacement. Therefore, if you move it to a compost bin, it will be completed as compost in a short period of time. In addition, because fermentation progresses quickly and smoothly, there is very little odor, and there are few pores and cracks.Furthermore, the bedding material itself is harmless, and people tend to prefer it as a source of minerals, especially calcium. It is also effective in preventing loose stools, and is a contributing factor to improving breeding efficiency.

The above effects are due to the fact that C3H gel, calcium silicate, etc. can eliminate the weakly alkaline environment suitable for microbial activity, and the pores and voids of the porous particles provide a suitable place for microorganisms to attach and multiply. It is assumed that this is because it promotes composting.

Figure 1 compares the changes in the moisture content of the bedding material. In the open type chicken house, 45 chickens/3.3 chickens were housed, while in the experimental area, calcium silicate and sawdust were mixed in a ratio of 1:1. The mixture was mixed and spread on the floor to a thickness of 15 mm, while the control area was spread with only sawdust to a thickness of 15 mm. From this data, it was confirmed that the moisture content of the bedding material was always lower in the test plot than in the control plot.

The table below shows the number of fly larvae in 500 g of bedding material that was used as bedding in a pigpen for 15 days and excreted with excrement using the Chagren method. Ten medium-sized pigs were housed in an area of 3.6 m x 7°2 in both the test and control areas, and the test area was covered with calcium silicate powder to a thickness of 1.5 cm, and the control area was spread with sawdust to a thickness of 1.5 cm.

As supported by the data in 2.
The purpose of this management method is to adjust the moisture content of excrement to suppress the occurrence of bad odors and cans, as well as to promote composting.
The material is not limited to tobermorite, but sheetsdried, phoshagite, gyrolite, helebrandite, etc. may also be used, and sawdust or rice straw may be mixed.

G. Effects As described above, the livestock barn management method according to the present invention suppresses the bad odor generated from livestock excrement, reduces the number of flies and flies, improves the environment inside the livestock barn, and is effective in composting. 1III fermentation has already progressed in the livestock barn, which is further accelerated and becomes compost in a short period of time. In addition, improvements in breeding efficiency can be seen for some livestock, and the benefits are significant.
