Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable hair line processing which leaves part of a base surface or metallic color print on a light-transmitting resin substrate precisely and easily and make the processing less costly by applying removable ink to an unprocessed surface as a mask and performing a desired processing. CONSTITUTION:A removable ink layer 3 is formed by applying removable ink on a base 1 with the held of any appropriate printing means such as silk screen printing. An ordinary ink layer 4 is formed on the entire surface including the ink surface of the removable ink layer 3 by properly printing with an ordinary ink. A commercial-grade hair line film 5 is subjected to hot stamp working process using a thermal roller 6 which presses said film against the ink surface of the ordinary ink layer 4. Thus a hair line processed surface 7 is formed. The removable ink layer 3 is removed from the surface of the base. The processed surface 7 applied on the removable ink layer 3 through removal process is simultaneously removed to obtain a hair line-processed product 2. This product undergoes metallic color application processing using evaporation or sputtering applied to the entire surface including an ink surface of the removable ink layer 3.

Conventionally, it has been used as a technology to partially apply hairline processing or metallic color printing to plastic plates, such as translucent display boards for car stereos and car radios, or car finishers. Hot stamping is a well-known method, but hairline processing involves processing with the base material surface exposed, so it is not possible to leave an accurate unprocessed surface, resulting in inferior quality. In addition, in the case of metallic color printing, not only is an expensive special jig required to leave an accurate unprocessed surface on the base material surface, but also distortion occurs in the base material due to heat, resulting in the formation of a molded product. There was a problem that this could cause problems.

The present invention has been developed in view of the above-mentioned problems, and it is possible to accurately and easily perform hairline processing or metallic color printing processing on a translucent resin substrate, leaving a part of the base material surface, and the processing. The purpose of this invention is to propose a hairline or printing processing method for a display panel that can be carried out at low cost.

The hairline or printing processing method for a display panel according to the present invention is characterized in that the unprocessed surface is masked with a removable ink to perform the desired processing, and the processing method is performed on a transparent synthetic resin base material to be processed. On the processed surface side, as a first step, a releasable ink layer is formed on the non-processed part by an appropriate printing method using an ink that has releasability to the base material, and as a second step, the releasable ink layer is formed on the non-processed part. After performing the desired processing on the entire surface, the third step is to peel off the releasable ink layer from the surface of the base material.

In addition, the processing in the second step is a step in which an ink layer is first formed using ordinary ink, and a hairline processing is applied to the surface of the ink layer using a hot stamping method, or a metallic color coating processing is performed using a vapor deposition or sputtering method. Change the selection depending on the purpose.

In the above process, the removable ink layer applied to the processed surface of the base material in the first step has a so-called "masking" effect, so it is difficult to remove the peelable ink layer during hairline processing or metal color coating in the second step. The hairline finish or metallic color coating applied to the releasable ink surface is simultaneously removed when the releasable ink layer is peeled off from the base material surface in the third step, and the unprocessed surface of the base material is exposed.

Since the hairline or printing processing method for a display panel according to the present invention is configured as described above, the processing can be applied to the processed portion of the processed surface due to the masking effect of the removable ink layer applied to the base material surface. In order to reliably partition and block the transparent resin substrate, it is possible to accurately and easily perform hairline processing or metallic color printing processing that leaves a part of the base material surface on the translucent resin substrate, and to perform the processing at low cost. It has the feature that it can do the following, and the effects after implementation of the present invention are extremely large.
