Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fabric-laminated polyolefin-based sheet, which has enough peel strength and develops no peeling during stretching process at heat forming by a method wherein a polyolefin-based sheet and a fabric are thermowelded together by interposing a thermoplastic elastomer layer between them. CONSTITUTION:A polyester knitted fabric is put upon the styrene-based elastomer side by coextruding polypropylene and styrene-based elastomer under molten state so as to laminate said fabric to the elastomer by contact-bonding with rolls. The polyolefin-based sheet and the thermoplastic elastomer layer are bonded strongly to each other by thermowelding. In addition, the fabric is integrated to the thermoplastic elastomer layer due to anchoring effect, which utilizes the low melt viscosity of the thermoplastic elastomer. Thus, the peel strength between the fabric and the polyolefin-based sheet is improved, resulting in that they become suitable for heat forming.
